Ben: I know what Camp Igopogo looks like, I know what we look like what I don't know is what you and Africa looks like.
To get the final shot where Sadie looks at all her friends and family who want her to go to Africa, the wall of the living room was cut open so the camera could get the shot. The crew knew they would never use the set again, so they didn't mind wrecking it.
When Ben says to Sadie "Hooray for Sadie Hawthorne, the African Explorer," it is an allusion to Groucho Marx saying "Hooray for Captain Spaulding, The African explorer."
When Rain tells Sadie she's going to regret not going to Africa "Maybe not tomorrow..." it's an allusion to the Bogart film Casablanca.
When Taylor says "dips his paddle in the water and row" to Rain, it is an allusion to the Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall movie To Have and Have Not.
