Lakers take on Celtics in a crucial Gm Three. I didn't quite know whether the Lakers would come out after being robbed in Gm Two, but they answered all questions early on.
Lakers controlled the game and lead most of the way. In last game, Kobe has played well as he was always does, but Ray Allen set an Nba record for threes. However, momentum rarely shifts from game to game unless you are a great player like Kobe. Ray had an abysmal 0-13 shooting night often missing wide open shots. Kobe had a big game, but the story was Derek Fisher's clutch shots near the end. The unsung hero for many years, Derek has proved himself as deadly as Kobe with the game on the line. Lakers are a pretty good road team, so they definitely had a shot of beating the Celtics who have had problems at home the whole season. Lakers have for the third straight game have held Rajun and Paul to moderate number. The Lakers with this win now have the opportunity to essentially close this series on Thursday by taking a 3-1 lead. If the Lakers play well, and Kobe has a big game as well as Gasol, and the bench, this series is practically over.moreless
And so the series shifts to Boston where the Celtics have not been as dominant as a team usually is on its home floor. The Celtics got off to an okay start, but then it was all LA and the Lakers went on to win the game and regain home court advantage. Now, just because the Lakers have that advantage does not mean that they cannot win this series. If the Celtics win the next 2 games, they will only need one more in Los Angeles to win the NBA Championship. That being said, this series is over. Kobe's getting another ring?moreless
