Well, it is late in the year, perhaps too late for the team to really make the playoffs, but the New Jersey Nets are finally racking up wins. They have their first four game winning streak in over two years, and for the first time in awhile are executing down the stretch. Avery Johnson has this team playing confident basketball because for the longest time the Nets blew leads in the final frame, not won games.
This was a thriller though. Blake Griffin had the chance to win it in regulation with free throws, but he only hit one of two, forcing the overtime period. He committed two costly offensive fouls in that extended period too. Kris Humphries really played him well tonight, and grabbed over 20 boards, showing that he can be a fixture of the Nets success if he returns next season.
Huge win in a really exciting game. Let's keep it going by beating the Celtics on Monday.
