  • The first round of a great 2011 NBA playoffs.

The 2011 postseason is my #1 favorite because not only did the Dallas Mavericks win their first NBA championship, but they beat Miami Heat - namely LeBron James, Dywane Wade, and Chris Bosh. This is only the first round, and my Mavs faced their hardest test number-of-games-wise as they beat the Portland Trailblazers in six games. Other series in the West: the (8) Grizzlies upset the (1) Spurs, 4 games to 2. The (2) Lakers survive the (7) Hornets in six games. And the (4) Thunder handled the (5) Nuggets in five. In the East, the (8) Pacers returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2006 and lost to the (1) Bulls in five. The (2) Heat took down the (7) 76ers in five, the (3) Celtics swept the (6) Knicks, even with Carmelo Anthony. And the (5) Hawks took down their division rival, (4) Magic in six games. It was a great opening round, except for the Knicks and their performance in getting swept. I hate the Celtics.moreless
