  • Butler continues their magical run through the NCAA tourney.

The Butler Bulldogs, once again, knocked out a higher seeded team than theirselves, as they get the opportunity to continue their run through the NCAA tournament. Although they were placed at the #8 spot in their respective region, young, brilliant head coach Brad Stevens and the Butler Bulldogs are already a great and dangerous team and everybody knows how scary this team is, despite their rather lower seeding. After defeating the #1 seeded Pitt in the Sweet 16, 71-70, they beat #4 seeded Wisconsin, although they nearly lost a twenty-point lead, 61-54. I give Wisconsin credit. They became a great team in a conference I really don't like, (Big Ten) especially on defense. I knew it was going to be a low scoring game, and it was - usually what Wisconsin rolls in - however, Butler pulled out the win and I'm honestly not surprised. Great game.moreless

Probably one of the least exciting games of the tournament on paper, but it turned out to be an interesting chess match. Brad Stevens continues to outcoach his opposition thus far in the tournament, but it is not just that. Butler is playing with a chip on their shoulder, they have been here before and want to prove that they belong. I thought that this Wisconsin team was tough, but I also understand that they have had mental breakdowns in the past and that was what happened here tonight in the second half. Tough loss, but the Butler machine keeps on going.moreless
