  • NCIS continue the search for the black book.

    9.5
This was the second part of a two part episode and its been quite an enjoyable two part episode with the team trying to find the black book but with foreign agencies looking for it makes it much harder When Kensi is kidnapped the teams priority is rescuing her and when Deeks finds her he helps her get out of a room of lasers that are triggered to blow up Hetty's life also becomes at risk when Mattias returns and tricks Hetty into thinking he works for the CIA but doesn't shoot her when he finds out there is no such thing as the black book but Hetty is glad that the people who killed Cole was killed.moreless
  • The case was dull, but the suspense and the action compensated for that.

    10
While the case that was investigated in the previous episode was boring, and this was the continuation to that, I did find this episode to be a step up from the last one, because of the amoundt of suspense that it had.

Firstly, I loved the scene at the bank, where Callen is faced with a sniper. I enjoyed the bait and switch move inside the bank, but sadly things did not work out! The book was stil missing!

The other epic scene was the one where Kensi was held in the rroom with the laserbeams and the explosives. They did that part sublimely, and it may potentially lead to a greater bond between Kensi rand Deeks.

Once again, this episode left me a little confused, so the case was perhaps the worst one of the season. However, the suspense, as I mentinoed, is top class, so I would recommend this episode!moreless
  • Enjoyable episode - typical of the genre but ---

    7.0
Much as I love action and drama shows, there has certainly been an avalanche of them of late. This spin off series had a lot of potential in series one - serveral unanswered mysteries (what happened to the stollen personnel information that was hacked about everyone) and not everything coming out well at the end of an episode (just as Dom was about to be rescued he gets killed).

There have been a few interesting ideas but already the cast of four agents is becomming a little boring. Hetty is a little unbelievable in her role and as far as I can tell neither she nor Eric has ever left the building.

This episode had a few cute action scenes and an interesting idea but I still found it a little boring. The writers need to mix things up a little to keep an audience. It needs something a little different from all of the other shows out there. Don't get me wrong I like all of the characters esp Eric - perhaps a few scenes AWAY from the office would help perhaps exploring one or two of the ideas left hanging in series one would be good.moreless

    6.5
The second part of the NCIS: Los Angeles two part event (why they chose to air it alongside a two part NCIS story I do not know) and it was a letdown from the first. They relied a bit too heavily on Linda Hunt, whose Heddy character is entertaining on this show, but it is hard to buy into someone 80 years old and 3 feet tall on a show that is supposedly in the action genre.

The episode still had me wondering how it was going to end, but as far as creating the drama the first hour did, there was no comparison.moreless

Kensi: Kind of looks like you.
Deeks: (to Monty) Do you look like me? Yeah, you do, 'cause I'm your daddy, aren't I?
Callen: (referring to Deeks and Monty) Oh, they are clearly in love.
