    Submission Guidelines:

Please follow all the guidelines set up by the TV.com staff. The following is a brief summary of the basic guidelines. Please PM me if you have any questions about submissions.

-Episode Summaries: This information should be brief and include the overall bases of the episode. Please do not include any spoilers or outcomes in the summaries. This should be actual information, no opinions and should be in your own words.

When submitting a new episode remember you must have two of the following, title, airdate and/or summary. You must also fill in the season and lifetime numbers. Please leave the production code blank, unless you have a source. If the episode has not aired, you must include a URL.

-Episode Recaps: This information should be as comprehensive as possible, containing all plot elements and outcomes from that episode. This should be factual information, no opinions or predictions and should be in your own words. This should follow the flow of the episode.

Stars: These are the actors that appear in all episodes of the season and/or are in the main credits of the show.

-Recurring Stars: A guest star who appears in more than one non-back-to-back episode playing the same character. If a guest star only recurs in a few consecutive episodes of a story arc, I don't consider that as recurring. But if they appear again in a somewhat later episode, then that is recurring.

*All stars and recurring stars are available to be imported. Please remove any season tags for the episode level.

*Please spell out the ranks for all stars and guest stars i.e. use Lieutenant instead of Lt.

*Please add all stars in one submission. If you add guest stars in multiple submissions please explain why or they will be rejected. This also goes with all crew members.

-Quotes: These should be exact statements made be the characters in that episode. All quotes must be in the approved format:
*Name: Quote. Action/background/context should be in parentheses and italics. If place ( ) between name and quote, please place after the colon.

-Trivia: Trivia is specific to events that aired or are contained in the episode. It is specific to the episode.

*Example: Something that changes from one scene to another that should not have changed. An actor who making a statement but their lips are not moving.

-Notes: These are events that are off camera and deal with the actors, producers etc.

*Example: An actor walking off a set would be a note.

*Please don't submit actors and actresses that have appeared on JAG or NCIS and are now appearing on NCIS:LA as a note. This is bound to happen with shows spanning this many years and it is not noteworthy.

-Allusions: This is a direct or passing reference to another TV program, a movie, a piece of music, or a book. Make sure to always reference the original media and if necessary explain it. Please note how this ties into the actual episode. Just because it resembles another piece of media does not make it an allusion, it should allude to something relevant to this episode and the action on screen.

Please include sources for the information you are submitting. Any submissions copied from another website will be rejected.

As of 05/18/10, Brian Avers (Special Agent Mike Renko) is considered a recurring role.

Please note as of 01/26/10, Episode 13 "Missing" Barrett should be added as a star, not a recurring star. Also, Adam is no longer a listed as star of the show as of Episode 12.

Please do not add new people per press releases, many sites, including the CBS press express is known to have misspellings and this creates duplicate guides. Best practice is to wait to add new people until after the airing, so that the name and spelling can be verified. Just note in your user comments that you did not add insert names because they did not have a guide already on the site. Thank you

    Reminders from the Editor:

    1. Follow all TV.com guidelines for submissions. Be sure to check out the TV.com User Submission Support Forum and TV.com Contributions for help. Here are links to a few of the topics.

    a) Adding Cast and Crew
    b) Episode Notes, Trivia and Allusions
    c) Episode Quotes
    d) How to Submit an Episode
    e) Sourcing Your Material

    2. Fan sites are not acceptable. It's impossible to know if the person who posted the information to the fan site got it right. The best source is an official web site. A second best source is legit published media sites, i.e. tvguide.com, zap2it.com, futon critic, etc.

    3. When submitting guest stars, episode summaries, and any other submissions that may require verification, you must provide your sources in the user comments section. Unsubstantiated submissions will be rejected. Wiki, spoilerfix.com, spoilertv.com and fan sites are not acceptable sources. Please use information from the network official website, actual broadcasts, episode credits and DVDs.

    4. When submitting trivia, quotes and allusions please provide an approximate time stamp so I can review the scene without having to search for it. Where appropriate, please provide a verifiable URL link to back up your submission information. Always provide a short reason why the quote you submitted is worth keeping. Quotes are not transcripts but snippets of dialogue.

    5. I'll edit submissions when only minor work is required but otherwise I'll reject and provide an explanation in the comments. Spelling, grammar and punctuation count! In many cases, something entered as Trivia is really a Note so you'll be asked to resubmit.

    6. If you're in doubt about your submission, please PM me first and I'll be glad to help.

    Thanks,
    TesserT
