I am very much looking forward to this show but I have my doubts as to whether it will be as good as the original. Although having said that NCIS is much better than JAG so there is hope.

I voted on "Depends on what they change". I am a huge fan of NCIS, and I loved every episode of JAG. I don't want CBS to cancel or end NCIS, merely in order to start up this spinoff. If possible, i'd like to see it run concurrently with NCIS (much like CSI, CSI:NY etc).

Judging by the cast which has been confirmed thus far, this show is aimed more towards a younger audience, although I do hope we get to see Gibb's and his team from time to time as well. If done correctly, this can turn out to be a great show as well, but as I said, they better not cancel NCIS only to start up the spinoff. NCIS is currently CBS's highest rated series, so I doubt it will be cancelled anytime soon.

I hope they wouldn't't change the original cast crew. I love their own personality very much, which often made me laugh and feel impressive

    NCIS is awesome ~~~

It is the cast of NCIS that makes it so good

I like NCIS and Legend was good if they keep the cast believable and a team it's gonna be great!

From the premise, I don't see the potential for the variety of storylines NCIS has. The best potential it has without being a carbon copy of the original is to be a cross between Wiseguy and UNSUB, with multi-episode story arcs and Macy dealing with political and budgetary considerations to keep the operation going in the background.

Another spinoff? Have the writers run out of ideas?

I'll give it a serious shot, the Legend-episodes in NCIS were pretty cool to see. It just depends on the way they're going to work things out I guess.

    We'll see

This show seems that it will be different, which is good. It appears that it will be more hi tech. The cast is great. I think the show will rock if it is any where near as good as NCIS. I will not judge the show until I have seen several episodes. It generally takes a show more than one or two shows to determine how good it is. Let's give a good chance. I think an initial 8.3 rating is unfair since it has not aired yet. Just my 2 cents worth.

I can't wait for this show either. The characters look awesome, and it will be nice to see Louise on a weekly basis again; plus I loved NCIS so this can only get better.

One of the reasons tne original NCIS works so well for me is that the chemistry between the characters (not to mention the casting) is perfection in itself. This new spinoff has a lot to live up to.

I love NCIS and it's the interaction of the characters that make the show. The cast is great! I hope the new NCIS does well but don't change the original. Hope to see the original NCIS cast interact with the new but I'm an original NCIS fan and love the story lines.

Voted Depends on what they change

I watched the 2 intro eps, Legend and it wasn't bad, but I don't think NCIS:LA is going to be as good as NCIS. Can't wait to watch the first season to really see if its good. The idea of the team, OSP being good at undercover jobs didn't seem such an interesting thing, but hopefully the characters will be great and have the same tandem (not sure if that's the right word) as Gibbs' team.

A lot will depend on cast interaction. What makes NCIS so good is the way the cast members seem to have chemistry - who doesn't love Gibbs, Ducky, Abby, Ziva, McGee, and even DiNozzo?

I agree with expected excellence of the new NCIS New York programs -- as I also really liked to watch Magnum and JAG and the original NCIS. I am 'chomping at the bit' since we must wait until September for the new NCIS New York program to debut. I am really pleased to see one character from the original NCIS (Abby Shuto, the Goth Laboratory Technician) is advertising this new coming offshoot program. We hope she will be seen on the NCIS New York program as her character on the original NCIS has developed to be very popular with both my husband and myself.
