NCIS: Los Angeles Season 3 Episode 10

Deeks: (outside on the window ledge and one of his gloves fell) oh, yeah, right! (his phone vibrates) oh you gotta be kidding me. (he takes his phone from his pocket) god…uh…hey. Bates, what's up?
Bates: you're in trouble.
Deeks: I gotta be honest, given the circumstances, I think you're gonna have to be a little more specific.
Bates: your ex-partner from NCIS is gigantically pissed at you. That's one woman I would not cross.
Deeks: wait a minute, you-you-you talked to Kensi?

Deeks: I don't know if this is the right time to say it.
Kensi: well, it is what it is.
Deeks: right, and we are what we are.
Kensi: we were what we were, and its over now. (pause) I just...I...kinda hoped you have more to say.
Deeks: I don't know. I mean, I think it just takes...maybe more time for me to process it. (pause) ok, well then I will...uh...I'll call you.
Kensi: you'll call me?
Deeks: yes. I will call you and we will figure it out.
Kensi: figure it out.
Deeks: exactly. (pauses) We always do.
Kensi: right.

Hetty: Detective Deeks.
Deeks: Yes.
Hetty: The LAPD has cut its ties with NCIS. Liaison duties are discontinued, effective...immediately.(pause) I'm sorry.
Kensi: Wh-what does that mean?
Deeks: Hetty just fired me.

Kensi: How you holding up?
Deeks: Well, I shot my dad when I was 11. Shot a lot more guys as a cop. And all of them deserved it. Life or death situations. Until today.
Kensi: That guy was a Neo-Nazi murderer. Wanted by the FBI since 04.

Callen: We don't even know who we can trust in LAPD. We go with Kensi and Deeks, we risk letting Fiske and the RDX get away.
Sam: Kensi and Deeks have Bates under control. Handling Fiske and the RDX...comes down to us.
Callen: You mean us against Fiske, his bodyguards, a crew of Neo-Nazis and an LAPD SWAT team that may or may not be on our side?
Sam: (shrugs) Gotta love Tuesdays.

Deeks: I was protecting you.
Kensi: You were protecting me?
Deeks: Us.
Kensi: Us?
Deeks: Our...our thing.
Kensi: ...Whoa. So there is a thing!
Deeks: (uncomfortable pause) Can we just not talk about this right now? I just--maybe we could do it over drinks or something--
Kensi: (cutting him off) No, I have plans.
Deeks: When--
Kensi: (cutting him off again) Every night. For the rest of my life.
