  • Deeks gets fired.

    8.5
I thought this episode and the previous episode are the two best of the season The season is definitely picking up I really enjoyed this episode when Deeks finds himself in trouble when he shot someone who wasn't armed and that gets him fired from NCIS I liked how Kensi really cared and didn't want him to go but it was because of her the LAPD never knew it was all a plan set by Hetty The episode ended really well with Deeks back at NCIS and I am looking forward to the next episode.moreless

I loved this one! Every moment was spectacular! The first scene was really interesting, and created a spectacular and amazing episode!

It was quite interesting and unexpected. There were a lot of unexpected moments and the plot and storyline was great in all ways!

I thought it was really well writen and I did enjoy it so much! I dont want to spoil too much, so I won't go into the details, but I truly recommend this episode very highly! Great work LA!!!moreless

I thought that this episode may be promising, almost like an hour of Burn Notice with Deeks in the dog house for his mistake, but it quickly got too political, too complicated and it lacked the usual entertainment value associated with this show. Quite frankly "The Debt" was about as boring as an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles could get and they really blew it with a fun premise.
  • Wow! Did not end like I thought!

This show was really good. It kept me on the edge of my seat especially when I didn't know who was the bad guy or what was going to happen next.

And aninterested thing about a possible 'love' connection that wasn't.

Very well done, good writing and good acting. I loved the switching of who was the bad guy(s). Just didn't know how it would end. Glad it ended as it did.

Have not read any other reviews yet - but don't know why anyone wouldn't like it!!moreless

    • Bates: You have a home with NCIS. I see that now.
Deeks: I gotta be honest, I think it's where I belong.
Bates: You're still one of mine. Remind that tea-sipping Svengali that. Just don't let that little ninja lady come after me, all right?

    • Kensi: Bates said that you swore off female partners. Is that true?
Deeks: Oh I don't really think of you as a female in that sense of the word. I mean, you're clearly not male because you got the...I mean...heh heh...clearly...I don't know, you're Kensi.
Kensi: Oh, OK. Welcome home...I think. (as she walks away)
Deeks: No no. that's not, that's not what I meant. I didn't mean it like that. It's suppose to be a compliment. Because...female...I would be...come on. Kensi! (he looks at Sam and Callen) Can you please back me up on this?
      Callen: Game is lookin'.
      Sam: Game recognizes nothing.
Deeks: Hetty. (as she walks by) Hetty, please tell me you have advice for this?
      Hetty: Haters gonna hate.

    • Deeks: (outside on the window ledge and one of his gloves fell) Oh, yeah, right! (his phone vibrates) Oh you gotta be kidding me. (he takes his phone from his pocket) God…uh…hey. Bates, what's up?
      Bates: You're in trouble.
Deeks: I gotta be honest, given the circumstances, I think you're gonna have to be a little more specific.
Bates: Your ex-partner from NCIS is gigantically pissed at you. That's one woman I would not cross.
Deeks: Wait a minute, you-you-you talked to Kensi?

    • Deeks: I don't know if this is the right time to say it.
Kensi: Well, it is what it is.
Deeks: Right, and we are what we are.
Kensi: We were what we were, and it's over now. (pause) I just...I...kinda hoped you have more to say.
Deeks: I don't know. I mean, I think it just takes...maybe more time for me to process it. (pause) OK, well then I will...uh...I'll call you.
      Kensi: You'll call me?
Deeks: Yes. I will call you and we will figure it out.
      Kensi: Figure it out.
Deeks: Exactly. (pauses) We always do.
      Kensi: Right.

    • Hetty: Detective Deeks.
      Deeks: Yes.
Hetty: The LAPD has cut its ties with NCIS. Liaison duties are discontinued, effective...immediately. (pause) I'm sorry.
      Kensi: Wh-what does that mean?
      Deeks: Hetty just fired me.

    • Kensi: How you holding up?
Deeks: Well, I shot my dad when I was 11. Shot a lot more guys as a cop. And all of them deserved it. Life or death situations. Until today.
Kensi: That guy was a Neo-Nazi murderer. Wanted by the FBI since 04.

    • Callen: We don't even know who we can trust in LAPD. We go with Kensi and Deeks, we risk letting Fiske and the RDX get away.
Sam: Kensi and Deeks have Bates under control. Handling Fiske and the RDX...comes down to us.
Callen: You mean us against Fiske, his bodyguards, a crew of Neo-Nazis and an LAPD SWAT team that may or may not be on our side?
      Sam: (shrugs) Gotta love Tuesdays.

    • Deeks: I was protecting you.
      Kensi: You were protecting me?
      Deeks: Us.
      Kensi: Us?
      Deeks: Our...our thing.
Kensi: ...Whoa. So there is a thing!
Deeks: (uncomfortable pause) Can we just not talk about this right now? I just--maybe we could do it over drinks or something--
Kensi: (cutting him off) No, I have plans.
      Deeks: When--
Kensi: (cutting him off again) Every night. For the rest of my life.

    • Deeks: Did anybody ever tell you how cute you are when you're homicidally angry?
Kensi: I'm not angry. In fact, I could slit your jugular vein eleven different ways from where I'm sitting and I wouldn't lose my temper.
