When Rio is hiding in the bathroom pretending to have a gun, Callen flips the privacy filter switch located on the bedroom wall to reveal that he doesn't have one. Electric privacy window filter switches are usually put inside the bathroom to give the occupant control over when it's turned on and off.
Goof: When Fahad Ahmadi is stabbed, he falls face down with his legs out and his arms down near his legs. When the camera takes the overhead shot after the killers run off, his body is in a different position and his legs and arms are now spread out.
The music Sam taught Riley Peyton to play on the drums was by "Together Pangea".
At the end of the episode, Callen is seen reading a newspaper. It's actually an Italian newspaper showing a political headline which refers to an internal discussion dated October 2011.
Continuity Error: NCIS: LA appears to have caught up with NCIS regarding the SECNAV. SECNAV Clayton Jarvis was killed off in the season 11 premiere of NCIS and replaced by Sarah Porter. It is assumed that both of the series follow the same timeline where Leon Vance is the current director. But this season until this episode, the SECNAV has been referred to as "he".
Goof: When Deeks and Monica arrive at the safe house, we hear him put the safety chain on the door, and we see that it's on as he walks away from the door. Later, the scene where Monica is blowdrying her hair and there's a knock on the door, the safety chain on the door is off when we first flash to the door, but when Deeks goes to open it seconds later, we see him take the chain off.
Goof: When Sam is checking the terrorist's pockets, he find a touchscreen BlackBerry, but later, when he reunites with Kensi, Deeks and Callen, he's holding a BlackBerry with a keyboard
Goof: In the opening, the aircraft carrier shows 81 on the tower but if you look closely you can just make out 74 on the end of the flight deck meaning this is CVN-74 USS John C Stennis.
In the briefing room where the team are looking into Deeks' "evidence" the screen displays CVN-82 USS Van Buren.
The four women the agents pass by in the casino, were played by Ondrea J. Smith, Julia O'Donnell, Jeanne D. Olsen and Catarina Korn Broder, the real-life mothers of LL Cool J, Chris O'Donnell, Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah.
Goof: The investigation is supposed to be about Vietnamese Consulate, but the plaque shown early on says Embassy of Vietnam.
Goof: When Deeks guesses the password for the protected file in the hidden directory on Kensi's home computer and tells Callen to try it,"Try "KINGOFTHEWORLD", all caps, no spaces.". We see the actual password in the field instead of asterisks.
Goof: In the first scene when SWAT is getting ready to break down the door with the ram. It's a metal door, metal frame and it is hinged on the out side, which means the door opens out. There is no way they would break that door in with that little ram.
Goof: The file that Hetty gives to Nell says that Deeks' father, Gordon John Brandel, was born 3/16/1969 which would make him only 8 to 10 years old when Deeks was born.
Goof: In the episode "Borderline", Deeks tells Kensi the last time he saw his father was Thanksgiving 6 years ago (making it 2004) and his father told him he hated him, then fired a shotgun at him. In this episode, Hetty tells Deeks that Deeks shooting his father when he was eleven was in self defense, because his father was wielding a shotgun. However, Hetty also tells Deeks his father died in 1998.
Goof: In the scene where Deeks first awakes, Kensi leans her arm on the bed rail and the rolling bedside chair nearly gets away from her.
Kensi's full name as Kensi Marie Blye.
Goof: When Kensi and Deeks were following the the GPS in the desert, she said that they needed to follow Route 77 to 78, which would go to Arizona. State Route 77 is now SR 185 near Oakland; and SR 78 ends far from the Arizona border, far north of the Mexican border.
