  • Best NCIS eps in 10 years

    9.5
With all the drama, dead people, science and toys in the series I would have to say that this episode and the roles played by Gibbs, Fornel and their ex-Wife was just so funny!

Wish there where more episodes like this one!
  • WTF is a 'trifecta'?

    1.5
Did u guys watch the same ep as me?

Came back to this as I was bored. I ditched the prog after the previous ep.

    Smug, badly written dross.

BTW Only watched the first 15 minutes, had to turn it off.
  • Great episode very funny

A thoroughly enjoyable episode with the interaction between all the characters. Witty dialogue and situations. Poor McGee, found in a ' compromising' position which led to a lot of ribbing. Always enjoy Gibbs and Fornell getting together but add their ex into the mixture and well, what a situation.

I never expected to laugh at an NCIS episode.
  • Thoroughly enjoyable episode !

This episode was fantastic, watching 3 of the main characters twitch as they met " Diane Stirling", Gibbs and Fornell's ex wife and then the both of them finding "Chucky" aka McGee curled up on the sofa with her !! Very funny.
  • Brilliant!

This episode is definitely labelled correctly. 'Devil's Trifecta' indeed - add McGee and you've got almost a quartet!

There were some really hilarious scenes with Diane, but in addition we had a great cas e was interesting to follow and interesting to wtch.

I thought the storylines were really good and Diane is an interesting character for sure! Looking forward to more greatness next week!

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • At the bar when Gibbs and Fornell first bump into Diane, Gibbs is standing to Diane's right. After the commercial break, Gibbs and Fornell have switched places.

    • TRIVIA: On Diane Sterling's "Diane Gibbs" drivers licence, the address is listed as 505 E. Laurel Street, Alexandria, VA. There is a 505 E. Laurel in Alexandria, VA, but it's Drive, not Street.;

  • QUOTES (9)

    • McGee: (McGee and DiNozzo are arguing about what happened with Diane at McGee's apartment.) Wait...what rumours?
Palmer: The kind that would make a grown man blush, McGee.
Ducky: Even our latest victim turned a light shade of pink when he heard one, and he's dead!

    • (Diane puts a badge on Vance's table)
      Gibbs: Wow.
Fornell: My breakfast burrito is about to say 'hello'.
Vance: The IRS Deputy Commissioner called when he heard we had... one of their Agents.
      Fornell: Agents?!
      Gibbs: Wow.
      Fornell: "And the Lord wept".
Diane: Yes, "Agent". And I was undercover when you two bumbled into the bar.
      Gibbs: Undercover on what?
Diane: Big tax fraud case. Somebody's stealing identities, filing fake returns and making off with a boatload in fraudulent refund cheques.
Vance: Costs the IRS billions each year.
Diane: We had traced several identity thefts to the bar. My plan was to ID the thief and follow him back to the ring leader. I was posing as a buyer so I could interview the employees on the DL.
Gibbs: You were posing as "Mrs. Fornell".
Diane: Budget cuts. Fake ID is expensive. I was improvising.
Fornell: Improvising?! Your "improvising" almost got me killed! You must've ruffled the wrong feathers Agent Fornell, and those feathers thought I was part of your op and put a hit out on me!
      Diane: Sorry?
      Fornell: Sorry??!!

    • Diane: How do you know everything?
      Gibbs: I don't. I don't. I-I just learned how to listen.

    • Vance: (To Gibbs, Fornell and Diane) Truth is, I'm proud of the way you pulled this off.
Diane: At least I didn't kill them.
Fornell: I've had root canals that went better.

    • Fornell: Speaking of the Spawn of Unholiness, I did some checking with a buddy of mine at the IRS. Know what I heard?
Gibbs: That's she's not leaving Victor, it's Victor thinking about leaving her?
Fornell: How did you know that? Can't say I'm surprised, either. You ever notice how she never gets sick? Even germs don't like her.

    • McGee: Diane and I fell asleep on the couch, talking, that's all.
Ducky: Well, given Agent Gibbs' and Fornell's propensity for violence, that's the story I would stick to if I were you.

    • (Gibbs, Fornell and Diane are heading to the squad room together.)
      DiNozzo: (whispering) Here she comes.
      McGee: Here I go.
David: Gibbs told us to stay put.
Fornell: Better you should run for the hills.
Diane: You know, I am not any happier about this than you are, so can we please make it as painless as possible?
Fornell: So says the Queen of Pain.

    • Diane: I'm working.
Fornell: That what you call pushing papers all day?
Diane: I am an auditor, not a paper pusher. After Emily graduated eighth grade, I went back to the IRS.
Fornell: Fitting, isn't it? A cheater going after tax cheats.

    • McGee: You receive any threats lately?
Fornell: Just from my ex-wife. But then, she lives on my bad side.
