"Christmas Past" is one of the ghosts in A Christmas Carol (1843) by Charles Dickens. He appears to Ebenezer Scrooge to review his life. In the book, The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge his painful memories, including when his former fiancee', Belle, broke their engagement in objection to his obsession with his job, and went on to have a happy life married to someone else.
