Foreshadow: In "Failing" when Ned asks the lunch lady to read his corn, she predicts that he will kiss his true love at an upcoming dance. Ned kisses Moze (who he ends up with at the end of the series) at the school's dance in "Double Dating".
Moze said that she never failed in her life even though she failed on purpose in "Cheaters / Bullies" so Bitsy can stop cheating.
In Failing the guidance counselor dressed as a goth kid says to the magic pyramid "Am I going to smash you into a million pieces?" The pyramid replies NO and she says "You're wrong," and throws it into the ground. But the pyramid was right she only broke it into about ten pieces.
Timmy Toot-Toot talks for the first time in this episode.
When Moze leaves after Jock tries to ask her out, he puts his arm on Ned's shoulder. Ned says, "I'd love to say and chat, but I'm off to meet my new tutor." The angle changes as he's saying this. Right before the shot changes to show the two of them standing there (instead of mostly showing Ned), you see Ned's arm go up to take Jock's arm off his shoulder. When it switches angles though, Ned's arms are down, then he reaches across and moves Jock's arm with his other arm.
Vice Principal Crubbs: (to Ned and Mr. Sweeney) Timmy exploded and the backblast is heading this way. (Crubbs leaves).
Mr. Sweeney: (to Ned) We'll start tomorrow! Run!
Jock: (about ugly Moze to Ned) Isn't she beautiful, (sees weird look on Ned's face) on the inside. Cause her face was disgusting. Plus she forgot to shave this morning.
If you're failing, don't overreact.
Try something different.
Talk to your guidance counselor to stop the failing.
Don't be afraid to ask for a new tutor.
Ask your teacher about other tutor options.
Beware of tutors who do your work for you.
Both episodes involve farts.
This episode does not have Gordy or Mr. Monroe in the opening credits. Instead it had "Beware of the Vice Principal" tip.
Second appearance of Palmer Noid.
Lunch Lady looks into Ned's corn in "Failing" and tells him that he will kiss his true love at an upcoming school dance. Coincidentally, "Double Dating" (episode 33) involves a school dance and kissing a certain friend.
We learn that the second tutor Ned got was Martin Qwerly's sister.
