  • Why Asuna? Poor Negi!

Asuna is slowly dying. The curse is taking it's course. Class 2A threw a surprise party for Asuna, not knowing her birthday was the next day. Asuna stands to speak at her party, almost breaks into tears, but fights them back. No one else knows she's dying. After her speech, she leaves the party. She sits in the big tree. Negi goes to look for Asuna, and finds her. He sits next to her. Asuna starts to tell him something, but falls out of the tree. Negi dives for her on his broomstick, and catches her moments before he hits the ground. He asks her if she is OK, but Asuna's head rolls back and Negi sees that the light has gone from her eyes. She died. I think Asuna was about to tell Negi she loved him, since recently she confessed her feelings to Takahata, and he rejected her.moreless
  • This is a severe departure for the series...

    10
If you followed this series from the beginning, you probably would have classified it as a lighthearted comedy series. But this episode, in an increadible departure from both the earlier episodes and the manga, has to be one of the saddest episodes of any show I have ever watched. There is not a soul alive who, after watching the jocular adventures of Negi and crew, could not shed a tear at this episode's shocking finale.

To talk about the plot would be to ruin the emotion, so all I can say to you is to watch the episode, and bring a box of tissues.moreless
  • Sad

    10
dispite most of the series being quite cheerful and quirky. this episode will leave u crying at the end. im not gonna give away what happens cos i dont want anyone to read it before they see it happen. its not like it will be a surprise if you have been watching up to now.

if you have been watching from the start you will have become quite attached to the characters by now, due to the way this amazing anime is presented. as i said it wont be a surprise p to the last minute, but it will shock you quite a bit when IT happens.

although sad, best ep to datemoreless
