    • TRIVIA (5)

      • Konoka forms a pactio with Negi in a hallway at the Mahora school building.

      • Pactio card debuts:
Nodoka - Cosplay - Nodoka wears red glasses as well as a Mahora school uniform and holds a diary where she can read people's minds. Chamo says the card is a Take rank according to Matsu-Take-Ume scale. The name on the card is Mijazaci Nodoca, and the number 40 is in the lower right corner.

Asuna - Dud - Asuna turns into a chibi mascot form of a wild boar. The number 4 is in the lower right corner of the card.

        Other pactio notes
Both Nodoka and Asuna's pactio globes in this episode are red.

Asuna's Rare card has the number 90 and her Cosplay card has the number 30 on the lower right.

Suka card is known as the Dud card in the English dub.

      • Nodoka Miyazaki is the Number 1 Net Idol. In season 1 the entire class 2-A became Number 1 in one of the episodes.

      • The donuts featured in chupacabara research group are stills of actual donuts instead of cartoon drawn ones.

      • The episode title is signed by Konoka.

    • QUOTES (4)

      • (Japanese version)
Asuna: Ugh, I'm so tired. Well, then (standing up energetically) Now that classes are officially over, I'll try my damn hardest for the rest of the day! (the last phrase echoes outside the building…)
Haruna: So Asuna's day starts AFTER school.
Konoka: Not listening in class anymore has made her pretty stupid.

        (English dub)
Asuna: Oh, I'm so tired. Heh, (standing up energetically) now that classes are over, it's time to work myself to the bone in the name of SCIENCE! (the last word "science" echoes outside the building)
Haruna: Wow, your day doesn't even start until after school. That sucks.
Konoka: You've really gotta pay better attention in class.

      • Chiu: My Net Idol Ranking is, of course... Rank...1? (Chiu sees that her rank is 2 and is shocked. She than falls onto the ground) IT'S NOT!? Who the hell surpassed me?! (Chiu clicks on the #1 idol page) "Cute Girls on the Block"? Don't tell me they're real idols... (Chiu opens another page) Eh? Mahora Academy Festival? (clicks and a picture of Nodoka appears) MIYAZAKI NODOKA! (Chiu falls on the ground again)

      • Chamo: Don't let your guard down, Aniki! You'll never know when the enemy will strike! (a hand touches Negi from behind and shocks both Negi and Chamo. Water drips from a faucet and Negi is seen covering the spot where he wet himself) Wha-What the heck; it's just Jou-chan! You scared the crap out of us!

      • Nodoka: (reading the magic diary that streams Chamo's thoughts.) Ah! Oh crap! The more I worry about it, more thoughts come out! Like the time I ate Aniki's pudding. Or the time I wet Ane-san's bed and blamed Aniki for it all! Or the time I tried to propose to a pretty ermine, and she said, "Your hair sucks!" and I felt so shocked from the rejection that my hair got that much worse!
Chamo: AH! STOP IT! DO NOT REVEAL ANY MORE!

    • NOTES (2)

      • Manga Corollary: Mahou Sensei Negima, Chapter 38 (first half)
In the manga, Nodoka learns about her diary powers after she receives the card from her kiss with Negi following the love-love contest in the hotel.

      • Opening Song Credits:
The opening theme for this episode is "1000% SPARKING" and was sung by Hazuki Tanaka (Fei Ku), Yui Horie (Makie Sasaki) and Junko Minagawa (Ayaka Yukihiro).

This version of "1000% SPARKING" contains different lyrics.

The animation has changes in three parts that normally show Asuna (standing on a table), Konoka (standing on a table) and Negi (kneeling between two rows of tables) are now replaced with Fei Ku (pose on a table), Ayaka (standing in front of group of tables) and Makie (wearing a red mask).

        Closing Song Credits:
The ending theme for this episode is "A-LY-YA" and was sung by Rina Satou (Negi Springfield), Akemi Kanda (Asuna Kagurazaka), Ai Nonaka (Konoka Konoe) and Yu Kobayashi (Setsuna Sakurazaki).

This animation ends with Motsu wearing a black jacket and having yellow hair and holding up a sign of a human left hand when he reaches the Negima circle.

Under the circle, a chibi version of Asuna is dancing with maracas.

The background color of this animation is blue.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • (English dub)
Haruna: That's right. The chupacabara has been sighted as far away as Flower Mound, Texas.

Flower Mound, Texas is the headquarters for Funimation who produced the English dub.
