For fans of Rex Stout's famous detective Nero Wolfe, this episode simply illustrates why the character is so loved.

Fresh corn picked to Wolfe's exacting specifications (As we learn) is what drags the rotound detective into a murder, but it is a lie by the victim's fiancee that puts Wolfe's Assistant and "man of Action" Archie into peril with the police, and forces Nero Wolfe to do something that he hates .... Work!

An enjoyable case (For us at least) as Wolfe is forced to solve a murder that over the course of the episode interrupts both Wolfe's meal, and time with his orchids.
