Britain's Missing Top Model was a British reality modelling show aired on BBC Three which was aimed at disabled women, with the premise of bringing disability into the mainstream modelling world. The première episode aired on 1 July 2008. The show followed eight young women with disabilities, average looking girls who would not have become top models had they been able-bodied, as they competed for a modelling contract (which includes a photo shoot with Rankin and a cover photo in Marie Claire). Aired over a period of five weeks the girls lived together and competed in a series of challenges and photo shoots. Each week at least one contestant was sent home. The eventual winner was Kelly Knox, who was born without a left forearm. Popular girls include Lilli Risner, Sophie Morgan, Jenny Johnson and Jessica Kelgren-Hayes. Debbie Van Der Putten is the only girl to become a successful model since the show aired in 2008. The show has now aired in the U.S.A, Canada and through Europe.moreless

And yet the guy cannot sell an Allegro, is being taught to drive by his long-suffering wife Ruth and is consistently out-performed by his alcoholic employee, Geoff. Swiss Toni is cheesy, out-of-date and chauvinistic – which is why everyone loves him. Played by Charlie Higson and born from The Fast Show character who claimed "Buying a car is like making love to a beautiful woman…" Swiss Toni will no doubt entertain, enthral, evoke laughter and most of all make you feel evolved.moreless

Famous hidden camera how producer Gary Reich takes his format a step further when he mixes ethnic comedy with common fooling people off in the streets all over in Britain. The show stars three black women, uncommon to similar shows, not some stupid blondes – the source of the name “Three non Blondes”. The show is lightened up, by sketches produced in studio, but the characters played by the three women usually hit the street and try to fool people. Fine examples are the virgin searching for sex advice everywhere, the “tarts who tout for Jesus” or the African queen visiting stores and hotels. This BBC program was originally produced as a single pilot episode, but was picked up for two seasons. The first season includes 7 episodes, but after their huge success, the second season aired for the rest of the year 2003, was much longer. The three non blondes returned in a full length season in 2004. The show was originally airing on digital satellite program BBC three, but often airs also on different channels, including BBC America. The show is currently on hold, so the chance still exists for another season.moreless

Outlaws was a half-hour black comedy series starring Phil Daniels set in the world of duty solicitors. But Kavanagh QC it ain't. If solicitors are in the front line of the legal service, duty briefs are the advance patrols: the poor bloody infantry foraging ahead in unfamiliar territory, gleaning intelligence, securing the beachhead and digging in until morning when the top brass arrive to take the salute. There are few victories, no medals, and like any dirty job you'd prefer someone else to do it. But above all, life in the trenches is a tight round. A duty brief's horizon rarely extends beyond the arenas of the police station and the Magistrate's Court. We'll never see a jury or a wig. Just interviews, bail hearings, committals, sentencing etc. It's not life in the fast lane, more like being stuck on the hard shoulder. But that's when things pass you by quickest. Outlaws was produced by World Productions for the BBC.moreless
