Call refuses to accept Newt as his son, but Newt works with Call and McCrae trading horses. Also working with Call and McCrae is a man by the name of Joshua Deets (Danny Glover) who is a former partner of theirs from their Ranger days. One day another former partner named Jake Spoon (Robert Urich) arrives in Lonesome Dove on the run from the law. Spoon speaks of settling in Montana and Call is drawn to it. McCrae is not so sure until the promise of meeting up with Clara once again is presented. Call and McCrae gather a crew of nearly all the men in Lonesome Dove to set off for Montana.moreless

Ken Preston (Robert Reed), a young, idealistic lawyer not too long out of law school, joins his father Lawrence Preston (E.G. Marshall) in the family law firm in New York. In this acclaimed, award-winning series, the pair tackle challenging legal cases, often involving issues often considered controversial in the early 1960s (abortion, euthanasia, "un-American" activities, movie censorship); the plots often have less to do with resolving a mystery than with debating an issue. The series began in 1961, and was inspired by a two-part TV play which series creator Reginald Rose wrote a few years earlier - The Defender (title in the singular), where William Shatner played Ken Preston and his father (originally called "Walter") was played by Ralph Bellamy.moreless

Leg Work was one delightful show that was on CBS back in 1987. Unfortunatly for that tv season it was the first casuality of the year being cancelled after just six airings. LEG WORK had one of the most interesting opening sequences for a television series. All three lead actors in the series were listed in the opening credits as starring. The way that it was done Margaret Colin was the first star of this show as the series revolved around her role of Claire McCarron a hot shot sexy female dectetive. Clare had lots of contacts in the series like her brother Lt. Fred McCarron of the New York Police Department who was played by Patrick James Clark and Clare's best friend was Willie Pipal a chief prosecutor for the New York City Court who was played by Frances McDormand. Francis has went on to bigger and better things since LEG WORK went off the air, she has been twice nominated for an Academy Award and winning one for her role in Fargo in 1997. Margaret has done several films since and a few other television series such as the critically acclaimed Now And Again for CBS. LEG WORK only completed 10 episodes of production. CBS only aired 6 of them however TV Land has over the years aired the remaining unaired episodes a few times.moreless
