Welcome to the Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot guide at TV.com! In time for their 25th Anniversary, The Care Bears are back, and this time with a new design, and with new adventures in Care-A-Lot!The series, marking the return of the bears to the small screen (and the return of the animation rights to DiC since losing the rights of animating the series to Nelvana in the mid 80s), focuses on five of the Care Bears: Cheer Bear, Share Bear, Funshine Bear, Grumpy Bear, and introduced in the movie "Oopsy Does It!", Oopsy Bear. Cheer Bear is now the unofficial leader of the Care Bears as opposed to Tenderheart. All the other Care Bears do make cameo appearances from time to time. It is notable, however, that the Cousins are not in the series. The Care Bear stare is also now seldom used. The series sees a revamped and modernized Care-A-Lot with totally redesigned Care Bears and redesigned belly badges. Also following the tradition held since Care Bear movies made during the 2002 revival, the series features easier to follow stories with lots of humor and pop culture references thrown in, and lack of supernatural characters- villains or otherwise. The show remain devoid of human characters until the first DVD release, Grizz-ly Adventures. Indeed, the series is now more technologically-oriented, and the sole villain of the series is Grizzle, a bear who dons a mechanical suit, has robots to do his dirty bidding, speaks with a British accent, and is careless and almost always messes up (and on the rare occasion that his plans actually work, is quickly outwitted and misled into messing up by the Care Bears). The series features a theme song performed by Kay Hanley. Adventures in Care-a-Lot is currently enjoying its second season on CBS. Catch the program on either Saturday or Sunday as part of CBS's Kewlopolis block. Check listings for showtimes, as time and broadcast day varies based on your local market. And coming in 2009, watch for a new direction to the series-- the Care Power Team. From their Care Station, this newly formed team of Bedtime, Cheer, Funshine, Grumpy, Oopsy and Share handles caring emergencies throughout Care-a-Lot using enhanced belly badge powers. The fun begins with a new direct-to-DVD CGI movie, Share Bear Shines, in which Share Bear must save the day when the Twinklets don't arrive for annual visit to Care-a-Lot.moreless

"A compelling drama, Robbery Homicide Division draws viewers into the lives of the elite Robbery and Homicide Division of the present-day Los Angeles Police Department. The detectives in this select unit work only high-profile crime wherever it occurs in Los Angeles." "Detective Sam Cole (Sizemore, Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down) heads the Robbery and Homicide Division's team of highly skilled detectives. Sometimes outrageous, always strategic, Cole has both a hunter's raw instinct and the intellect and wit to pursue L.A.'s most vicious and complex crimes. He has mastered the art of viewing crime through the eyes of the criminal." "Cole's team consists of Sergeant Alfred Simms, (Henley, Providence, ER) nicknamed "Dr. Death," he is best known for his droll sense of humor and high level of skill with a shotgun; Detective Sonia Robbins, (Scott, Millennium, Brooklyn South) a Spanish-speaking detective who specializes in pathology and Detectives Richard Barstow (Cubitt, Turks, American Embassy) and Ron Lu (Chan, Spy Game, Batman and Robin) who come from L.A.'s Hispanic and Asian Gang Units. Together, Cole's unit will confront the city's highest-profile crimes and criminals in the most exciting urban landscape in America." (Universal press release) A big critical, if not commercial, hit, Robbery Homicide Division marked Michael Mann's return to series television after more than 10 years on the big screen. Maybe he would have been better off returning to NBC. Although Friday at 10:00pm was where Miami Vice had aired, it didn't have to contend with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Never once did RHD air against a rerun of SVU, and no doubt both shows had too much audience overlap for RHD to ever find one. Which very well might have been the intention, since CBS didn't own a piece of the action. Ratings improved dramatically when it was moved to Saturday in The Agency's time slot for a two-week experiment, and, in fact, on December 7, 2002, it topped lead-in The District and won its time slot for the first time -- while The Agency (a show CBS did own a piece of) tanked on Fridays when it aired in RHD's slot. Just when things were starting to look up, Tom Sizemore got arrested on December 11th. And Les Moonves cancelled the series the next day. RHD was repurposed on the Universal-owned USA Network; the unaired episodes were eventually broadcast there. Theme song "3030" (instrumental) written by Dan "The Automator" Nakamuran and Teren Delvon "Del the Funky Homosapien" Jones performed by Deltron 3030 Robbery Homicide Division is produced by Forward Pass, Inc., in association with Universal Network Television Broadcast History ----------------- Sep 2002-Nov 2002, Fri 10:00-11:00 Nov 2002-Dec 2002, Sat 10:00-11:00 First telecast: September 27, 2002 Last telecast: December 7, 2002 Show type: Action drama Number of episodes: 13 Media: 24p Tapemoreless
