Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Bear in the Big Blue House guide at TV.com!
Bear in the Big Blue House recently returned to Playhouse Disney with a new episode week, airing from April 24-28, 2006. The new episodes have ended now, but you can still catch repeats of the fourth season of the program (including the new episodes) on weekends.
This guide is in the process of being updated! Keep watching for more episode summaries and other details.
Bear in the Big Blue House is a very popular children's show based on a bear that learns and explores through the lessons of each episode! With help from his friends Luna, Tutter, Shadow, Pip & Pop, Treelo and Ojo, Bear takes us into a world of imagination as we learn new things like music, dancing, and colors!

In each episode of Bear in the Big Blue House, Bear welcomes viewers in and tells them that he thinks they smell good! Viewers then join Bear as he helps out his friends in the Big Blue House and joins them in fun-and-games. Tutter loves cheese and can sometimes be very opinionated and fussy, but he's also ready with a cheerful "Thank you, Bear!" when Bear helps him out. Ojo's a bear cub who definitely looks up to Bear. She can be a bit shy and nervous at times, but Bear and all of her friends help her to learn new things. Pip and Pop are otters who just *love* a good time. Whether they're hanging out at the otter pond or playing in the bathtub, these two are always ready for fun. Treelo, a lemur, swings from vine-to-vine, but enjoys popping into the Big Blue House as well. Shadow's hard to find, but if you help Bear to sing her song ("Where-o, where-o, where is Shadow?"), she might just appear with a story! These stories are sometimes completely zany, sometimes very musical, but always great fun. Finally, late at night, Bear always visits the attic to talk with his long-time friend, Luna. Luna and Bear reflect on the events of the day and then join each other in singing "The Goodbye Song."

The fourth season of the show saw great changes, as Bear in the Big Blue House branched out a bit. Tutter began attending mouse school and the characters began exploring the neighborhood of Woodland Valley more. Ojo began riding her bike and went on journeys. Viewers met many new friends, but many of the same familiar elements of the show remained as well.
Bear in the Big Blue House was a part of Playhouse Disney's daytime line-up for many years. Currently, repeats can only be seen on weekends at 6:30 A.M., usually of the fourth season of the show (generally excepting holiday episodes.) However, you can still catch Bear himself weekday mornings at 6:30 A.M. on Playhouse Disney's "Breakfast With Bear" --- as he joins preschoolers in their morning routines.

Bear in the Big Blue House is also available on video and DVD. Look for a number of releases, most containing three episodes, with more possibly to come. You can also find Bear in the Big Blue House books --- both original stories and some based on TV episodes. Check your local bookstore, library, or online merchants. Three Bear in the Big Blue House albums have been released --- the third being a compilation of songs from the first two. A few other songs are available on Playhouse Disney compilation albums. Other merchandise is available as well --- check secondhand merchants and eBay.moreless

To describe Playhouse Disney's perennial preschool favorite, think Teletubbies meets The Jetsons. This loving, traditional family--Mr. And Mrs. Polie, 6-year-old Olie, sister Zowie, and Grandpa Pappy--are hairless beings with antennas, glassy eyes and noodle arms, set in a fruit-striped computer animated household of living appliances. Okey Dokey? While parents scratch their heads as to what makes this program work, preschoolers are enamored with the soothing story lines, predictable endings and deliberate pace of the Emmy-award winning show. A trio of hardly-haunted tales makes up this celebratory 24-minute show. Theme Song: Way up high in the Rolie Polie sky Is a little round planet of a really nice guy He's Rolie Polie Olie He's small and smart and round And in the land of curves and curls He's the swellest kid around Howdy! Howdy! Hooray! Hooray! JoJo is the bold one, leader of the group who comes up with ideas of what to play, but always finds a way to help her friends when they're in trouble When she grows up she wants to be a famous clown. Her best friend is Skeebo and her pet lion is Goliath. Goliath- Goliath is JoJo's pet lion, but he's also part of the Tickle family and attends school just like JoJo. He's a talented performer who is also a great and loyal friend to JoJo. Viewers can watch and help as he playfully hides from JoJo at the beginning of each story. Mr. Tickle- Mr. Tickle is JoJo's Dad. He's a circus performer and each day blasts off to work out of a cannon. Although he is often busy with work, he always makes time for JoJo when she needs his help. Mrs. Peaches Tickle- Peaches is JoJo's Mom. She's a sweet and kind Mom who is delighted to see her little clown growing up and being such a pleasant person. Mrs. Kersplatski- She's the teacher for the clown that JoJo and her friends attend. She's intelligent, fair, and very good at what she does. She's also a lot of fun and knows how to laugh at herself. Recently, she was married to Mr. Muscles. Mr. Muscles- He's a strong man and a physical education instructor. He knows a lot of great exercises, which he teaches to those in Circus Town. He has a daughter named Maya and recently married Mrs. Kersplatski, but it's not known whether he was divorced or is a widower. Skeebo Seltzer- Skeebo is JoJo's best friend. They stick together through thick and thin while they go on their adventures exploring Circus Town. He is the companion of the group that stands by them and is with them through it all. Skeebo wants to grow up to be a funny clown, but all of his friends know that he already is! Trina Tightrope- Trina is one of JoJo's buddy in the gang. She is very graceful and more practical of the bunch, which sometimes causes her to come off as being a bit mean. Deep down, she's just one of the gang who loves to hang out with her friends. Trina comes from an established tightrope family and wants to be a ballerina / tightrope performer in the circus. Croaky Frogini- Croaky is a silly frog leaper who JoJo meets on her first day of school. They first hit it off when they realize that they both have different talents and agree to help each other learn different tricks. When Croaky grows up she wants to be know as a great leaper and will probably be a flying frogini, just like her parents Felini and Federico Frogini. Dinky doesn't appear on a regular basis and often seems to be absent in scenes involving JoJo's clown Tater Spudinski- Tater is a part of a family of sleepy potatoes. His sleepy potato nature sometimes seems to be the antithesis to the "get up and go" feel of the show, but sometimes he can't help but join in the fun. Welcome to the PB&J Otter guide at TV.com. 1997 must have been a good year for New York-based animation studio Jumbo Pictures, Inc. The company was enjoying the success of its recently renewed "Doug", and was also working on producing "101 Dalmations: The Series" - which premiered later that year. 1997 was also the year that the company's founder, Jim Jinkins, created the upbeat, musical animated series "PB&J Otter" for the Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney block. Developed with the cooperation of Harvard Cognitive Skills Group, Project Zero, the show premiered in March of 1998. "PB&J Otter" tells the continuing story of the day-to-day adventures of three young Otter siblings - older brother Peanut, younger sister Jelly, and baby sister Butter - and their friends and family, living life in a small community known as Lake Hoohaw. Other characters include PB&J's friends: sarcastic Flick Duck; slightly paranoid Munchy Beaver; and Pinch Raccoon, a lover of anything dainty. Pinch's rambunctious younger brother, Scootch, makes a few appearances as well. Ernest and Opal are PB&J's understanding and supportive parents. Banjo-picking Mayor Jeff is the unofficial town patriarch. The Snooty Poodles are the wealthy, upper-class neighbors (always quick to point out that they live on the other side of the lake), who seem to be on a never-ending quest for the most expensive things money can buy. Also, PB&J's adventurous aunt, Anna (Aunt Nanner), visits every now and then, often bearing unique gifts for her nieces and nephew. "PB&J Otter" originally ran on the Disney Channel for 3 seasons, on Saturday and Sunday mornings. In July 1999, the show began to air on weekday mornings, as well.moreless

Chip 'N Dale Rescue Rangers was mainly about Chip and Dale's adventures in fighting crimes that the police think are too small to handle. Together, with the help of Gadget Hackwrench, the inventive and industrious girl mouse, a blue fly named Zipper, and Monterey Jack, a husky, strong mouse with a killer addiction for cheese, they match wits with evil scientists like Professor Nimbul and crooked cat underworld leader Fat Cat and his gang. This series first began on the Disney Channel in the spring of 1989, and then it had a long life on The Disney Afternoon block of shows. Main Characters Chip: The brave leader of the Rescue Rangers, resembles a pint-sized Indiana Jones. He is by far the most practical member of the team and his loyalty to the others never wavers, even if Dale does try his patience at times. Dale: He is much more excitable than Chip, a fact reflected in his fondness for garish red-and-yellow Hawaiian shirts. Has a fondness for comic books, science fiction and tall stories in general. Gadget Hackwrench: The only female Rescue Ranger is a brilliant inventor and created all the teams vehicles. The daughter of one of Monty's old friends, she is more than just a pretty face. Monteray Jack: Known to his friends as Monty, he is the eldest of the Rescue Rangers and was an explorer before he joined up with Chip and Dale. Has an addiction to cheese, which sometimes lands himself and the others in trouble. Zipper: A fly who hung round with Monty on his travels, he is the smallest Rescue Ranger. But what he lacks in size he more than makes up for in courage. Fatcat: As his name suggests, he is an overweight cat who used to belong to the first human villain the Rangers ever put behind bars. He is greedy, arrogant and short-tempered and is forever looking for some means of dominating the world. Meps, Wart, Mole and Snout: These are Fatcat's stooges. Meps is also a cat, while Wart, Mole and Snout are a lizard, a mole and a rat respectively. Professor Nimnul: A crazed human professor who is forever coming up with new devices with which to dominate the world.moreless

Welcome to the My Little Pony Tales guide at tv.com. An attempt by Hasbro to revive the "My Little Pony" craze in the early 90s, the show aired on the Disney channel (and later, syndicated to various networks worldwide), but didn't go too well with most of the former fans due to stark differences from the earlier shows. Gone are the nasty witches and warlocks who plot to take over Ponyland. The biggest difference, however, was the lack of the "human" characters. Then again, maybe it's for the best. There's still songs, but they're now limited to one song per story. So, that's two song per episode. In the show, we get a Ponyland that's pretty much advanced and similiar to our time (or at least, our time in the early 90's), with our technology (with VCRs, PCs, Camcorders, need I say more?). The basic plotline has also been changed. No more simple good-versus-evil plot that's the signature of 80's TV. The show's practically turned into a real-life-adventures show (read: edutainment shows that deal with real problems and how to solve them). Still, a pretty good show, If you like the ponies but dislike the fighting stuff that's in the 80's series, or if you like both the real-life-adventures shows and My Little Ponies. Me? Not with new episodes, but the show itself does go up for sale in 2005 along with other Disney shows like Dumbo's Circus and Under The Umbrella Tree. WHERE CAN I SEE THE CAST ON TV NOW? Teri Garr (Duchess) can now been see on ABC's "Life With Bonnie" and WB's "Greetings From Tucson. Wesley Mann (Caterpillar) can be seen on repeats of "That's So Raven" and "Even Stevens" on Disney Channel. Wesley will probably be on "That's So Raven"'s second season since he had/has a recurring role as a teacher. And don't forget Elisabeth can be seen on repeats of "Boy Meets World" on Disney Channel (which also airs 'MDWTPD')and on FOX's Point Pleasant. As for the other cast members...No idea =/ It has been noticed that the director for the upcoming movie "Good Boy!" is John Robert Hoffman, the man who played The Mad Hatter on the AIW series. It's highly likely that it's the same person. This is not confirmed though. moreless
