The MMC (also known as the New Mickey Mouse Club) was a show that aired on the Disney Channel in 1989 and ended its run in 1995. Matt Cassella had a knack for casting incredible talent; singing, dancing, acting, etc. More than a few of the cast members went on to be big stars (Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Keri Russell, Ryan Gosling, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Zachary Jaydon, Rhona Bennett, Tony Lucca, Ryan Gosling, etc.). The show spawned the music group "The Party," in 1990. "The Party" was comprised of 5 of the original 1989 cast members. DeeDee Mango, Albert Fields, Damon Pampolina, Tiffani Hale & Chasen Hampton had their biggest single with a cover of Dokken's song "In My Dreams." In 1993, the entire cast from Season 5 released an album called MMC and toured the country in support of the record. Season 6, which first aired in 1993, saw the addition of some of today's more famous Mouseketeers including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling & Christina Aguilera. When executives decided to cancel the show in 1995, one of the biggest reasons given was because they didn't think the younger, new cast members could hold the show on their own. The popularity of the show prompted the cable channel E! to do a "True Hollywood Story" on the cast, but unfortunately many of the cast were not able to be or willing to be interviewed. There have been countless rumors of a new incarnation of the show or a MMC reunion, but nothing has firmed up as of now.moreless

Welcome to the Johnny and the Sprites guide at TV.com! Johnny came to live in a house in the woods to work on his music in peace, but found the woods to be populated by fairy-like creatures known as Sprites. Johnny and the Sprites sing and dance together every episode. The second season of the full series has come to an end on Playhouse Disney. This new season features both Johnny and his friend Gwen visiting Grotto's Grove. It also features new sets, some new elements for the series, and new magical abilities for the Sprites. As of late 2008, Johnny and the Sprites can no longer be seen on Playhouse Disney in the United States. Check listings in other markets. You can also catch the series on a single DVD release, Meet the Sprites! Johnny and the Sprites originally featured Ginger and Basil, two Sprites with very different talents. Ginger is a very athletic girl and Basil isn't much for sports, but he has many other talents. Also joining Johnny and the Sprites is Seymour the mole who lives in Johnny's garden. In each episode, Johnny helps one or both of these sprites with concepts such as taking turns and being patient. Each episode also features an original song written and composed by Broadway musicians. Johnny and the Sprites began as a five minute mini-show airing weekdays on Playhouse Disney. The full version premiered in January 2007 and aired every Saturday on Playhouse Disney The new edition featured new characters, new sets, and more complex plots. The full version also featured three new Sprites. Lily is a Mexican water Sprite. She is outspoken and sometimes lapses into Spanish when overexcited. Root is an earth Sprite. He is rather shy, but very good at growing plants. He is somewhat younger than the other Sprites. He affectionately refers to Johnny as "Nonny." Sage is a wise old Sprite. Though he often takes long naps and is sometimes forgetful, he is the smartest Sprite anyone knows and gives very good advice.

Also joining is Gwen, a spirited woman who loves to try new things. She often assists Johnny around the house and with other projects. Watch also for special guest characters, as well as the fuzzies, a group of small, furry friends. Show Theme [Johnny] I came to live In this house in the woods To work on my music on my own But somehow I feel it's a magical place And somehow I feel I'm not alone I was just Johnny till I walked through that door But I'm not just Johnny anymore! I'm Johnny [Johnny and the Sprites] And the Sprites! [Johnny] Did you see one? Johnny [Johnny and the Sprites] And the Sprites! [Johnny] Could you be one? [Johnny and the Sprites] Johnny and the Sprites! [Sage --- Continuation in Full Series Only] Nobody else sees us, it's true [Ginger] There's only Johnny, and now there's you [Sprites] So if you should roll to Grotto's Grove Come join in a song, you can sing it too With you know who! [Johnny] Johnny [Sprites] And the Sprites! [Johnny] Sing along now... [Sprites] And the Sprites! [Johnny] That's our song now [All] Johnny and the Sprites! In the third season, the verse about only Johnny and us seeing the Sprites is replaced with a new verse, as follows: [Johnny and Ginger] Ginger and [Johnny and Basil] Basil [Johnny and Lily] Lily and [Johnny and Root] Root [Johnny] Sprites can be shy [Ginger, Basil, Lily and Root] But we're friendly [Root] And cute!moreless

Welcome to the My Little Pony Tales guide at tv.com. An attempt by Hasbro to revive the "My Little Pony" craze in the early 90s, the show aired on the Disney channel (and later, syndicated to various networks worldwide), but didn't go too well with most of the former fans due to stark differences from the earlier shows. Gone are the nasty witches and warlocks who plot to take over Ponyland. The biggest difference, however, was the lack of the "human" characters. Then again, maybe it's for the best. There's still songs, but they're now limited to one song per story. So, that's two song per episode. In the show, we get a Ponyland that's pretty much advanced and similiar to our time (or at least, our time in the early 90's), with our technology (with VCRs, PCs, Camcorders, need I say more?). The basic plotline has also been changed. No more simple good-versus-evil plot that's the signature of 80's TV. The show's practically turned into a real-life-adventures show (read: edutainment shows that deal with real problems and how to solve them). Still, a pretty good show, If you like the ponies but dislike the fighting stuff that's in the 80's series, or if you like both the real-life-adventures shows and My Little Ponies. Me? I like the new plotline. I love real-life-adventures shows. Song titles are provided by http://www.dreamvalley-mlp.com/ Here Are The My Little Pony Tales Theme Song Lyrics. The hit Disney show Adventures in Wonderland ran for over 100 episodes on the Disney Channel plus winning six Emmy's! This critically acclaimed show is currently off the air. Elisabeth Harnois (My Date With the President's Daughter, One Magic Christmas), at the ripe old age of 13, played the role of Alice. WILL IT RETURN? Not with new episodes, but the show itself does go up for sale in 2005 along with other Disney shows like Dumbo's Circus and Under The Umbrella Tree. WHERE CAN I SEE THE CAST ON TV NOW? Teri Garr (Duchess) can now been see on ABC's "Life With Bonnie" and WB's "Greetings From Tucson. Wesley Mann (Caterpillar) can be seen on repeats of "That's So Raven" and "Even Stevens" on Disney Channel. Wesley will probably be on "That's So Raven"'s second season since he had/has a recurring role as a teacher. And don't forget Elisabeth can be seen on repeats of "Boy Meets World" on Disney Channel (which also airs 'MDWTPD')and on FOX's Point Pleasant. As for the other cast members...No idea =/ It has been noticed that the director for the upcoming movie "Good Boy!" is John Robert Hoffman, the man who played The Mad Hatter on the AIW series. It's highly likely that it's the same person. This is not confirmed though. moreless
