"Dignity isn't something you practice. You either have it or you don't." From the Emmy Award-winning creator of Ally McBeal and The Practice, comes David E. Kelley's newest series, Boston Public. The show is a dramatic, sometimes comedic, behind-the-scenes look at the personal and professional lives of teachers working at a midsize high school in Boston. At the top of the faculty chain of command is Steven Harper (Chi McBride), the strong and intimidating principal. Harper is the force behind the school's objective to make students smarter and better. From handling irate parents to confronting school bullies to settling disputes between his staff, every day brings a new challenge for Harper. At the head of the Social Studies department is Lauren Davis (Jessalyn Gilsig), who while battling it out with students has to avoid the advances of fellow administrator, Scott Guber (Anthony Heald), the stern and formidable vice principal. Other faculty members include: Harvey Lipschultz (Fyvush Finkel), the 80-year-old history teacher who longs for the past; Marilyn Sudor (Sharon Leal), the music teacher most of the male students want to sleep with; Harry Senate (Nicky Katt), the rebellious geology teacher known for his unusual teaching tactics; Marla Hendricks (Loretta Devine), the special education teacher who needs a medication cocktail to make it through the day; and Louisa Fenn (Rashida Jones), the school Secretary/Assistant to the Principal; and most recently, Ronnie Cooke (Jeri Ryan), the successful lawyer, who switches careers in order to teach at Winslow High.moreless

What is truly in his soul? Doe doesn't have a clue. The pictures are of executive producers Frank Spotnitz (Langly), Vince Gilligan (Frohike), and John Shiban (Byers). * The pilot episode, which first aired on March 4, 2001, concerned a terrorist plot to fly a hijacked airplane into the World Trade Center towers. * After the series was canceled following the first season finale, an episode of The X Files (1993) was dedicated to wrapping up dangling plot lines from the series. In addition to featuring the Gunmen, who made their debut on The X-Files in 1994, the episode featured the return of Jimmy Bond (Stephen Snedden), Morris Fletcher (Michael McKean), Yves Adele Harlow (Zuleikha Robinson), and Kimmy the Geek (Jim Fyfe). * "Yves Adele Harlow" is an anagram for Lee Harvey Oswald. * In the episode "Planet of the Frohikes", the "Boulle Behavioral Institute" is a in-joke reference to Pierre Boulle, the author of the original novel of "Planet of the Apes." * In the episode "Cap'n Toby", the series writer "John Gillnitz" is an amalgam of that episode's three writers: John Shiban' , Vince Gilligan, and Frank Spotnitz. * The pilot episode features a corporation called "EComCon". This is the first co-production of Fox International Channels (FIC) and Fox Television Studios (FtvS). It's also the first U.S. English-language drama to be shot by Fox Telecolombia in Bogota, Colombia. Mental is a drama that explores the complexity of the human brain like never seen before. Every week there is a different patient with a different crisis. Every crisis is a mystery, a confusion, or even a wrong diagnosis from other doctors. Originally from the UK, Jack Gallagher is a compulsive traveler who has taken a position as the director of a psychiatric hospital in L.A. to be in the same city as his twin sister. Fascinated with the power of the human brain since he was a child, Jack approaches psychiatry with unorthodox treatments and slightly unusual methods for the sake of his patients' mental health. He is overseen by Nora, the department administrator who is also his ex-lover. For Jack, each case is like a puzzle. Jack has the ability to see what his patients have in their heads, to see the world as they do and give them a perspective on their own worlds. Unfortunately, some of his colleagues don't agree with his methods, and they will do anything to get him out of the clinic. Day after day he fights against his sister's schizophrenia, afraid he'll end up as one more victim of this serious mental illness. He is ready to break some rules for the well-being of his patients. For him the most important thing is to get into the mind of his patients, seeing reality as they do and make them understand that the doctors are a part of their recovery. Jack thinks that doctors and patients have much more in common than they are ready to recognize.moreless
