Heaven's Lost Property is the anime series based on the Japanese manga by Suu Minazuki. The story is about a young boy named Tomoki Sakurai, a quiet person whose motto is "Peace and quiet is the best". Tomoki longs for a quiet life, but his neighbors make it difficult, with one being a karate enthusiast, one an eccentric scientist and one a borderline sadist. Tomoki often sees a strange girl in his dreams, who asks for his help. The only problem is he can't remember her face when he awakes. One day he sees something strange in the sky, and witnesses a mysterious UMA, or Unidentified Mysterious Animal, that falls from the sky. He finds out that the creature is an Angeloid, who ends up becoming his servant. The Angeloid Ikaros is joined by Nymph, another Angeloid, and the two try to adjust to Earth life. Now Tomoki's quest for a quiet life has become disrupted by his Angeloid visitors, and a third Angeloid who is after Tomoki. FLCL (Fooly Cooly) otherwise known in Japan as Furi Kuri is an OVA (original video animation) by Y''ji Enokido. It was released in April 2000 by Gainax and Production I.G studios. The main character of the show is Naota (voiced by Jun Mizuki in the Japanese version, and Barbara Goodson in the English version). The story starts with the arrival of Haruko Haruhara (voiced by Mayumi Shintani for the Japanese version, and Kari K. Wahlgren for the English version) running over Naota with a Vespa. After giving Naota CPR, she somehow hits Naota with a left-handed bass guitar. Naota is baffled by the ordeal and finds it weird that Haruko is the family maid living in his household. Naota is a character that's concerned with maturing and growing up fast. He wants to resemble his older brother's actions because he believes his older brother acts like an adult. Corpse Princess was a Japanese manga, then anime series created by Feel and Gainax. The anime was a thirteen episode series that lasted for two seasons, airing from October 2nd 2008 to March 2009. The show was licensed to North America through Funimation Entertainment. It premiered on the Funimation channel on November 15th, 2010. The series revolves around Makina Hoshimura, an undead girl known as the Corpse Princess. Makina has to hunt down and destroy 108 undead corpses so she can gain entry into hevan with the help of a secret organization of anti corpse Buddhist monks. Makina and her family were murdered before becoming a living corpse. She now arms herself with dual MAC-11 submachine guns as she hunts down the other undead corpses. Helping her is the Buddhist priest Kesei Tagami connected to the anti-corpse group the Kougin Sect. Slayers REVOLUTION is the fourth season in the very popular Slayers anime series. The Slayers universe is ruled by the Lord of Nightmares, the creator of (at least) four parallel worlds. Each one of these worlds has gods and demons in constant battle. It the gods win, the world stays at peace. If the demons win, the world is destroyed and chaos will reign. Lina lives in the world ruled by the Flare Dragon Ceiphied, the supreme god, and the Ruby-Eye Shabranigdo, the supreme demon. Their battling resulted in Shabranigdo being separated into seven pieces, placed into human souls. Ceiphied was separated into four pieces as well. Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino is the sequel to the continuing manga and anime series Gunslinger girl which originally aired in Japan from October 8th 2003 to February 19th 2004. The original series was produced by Madhouse and was directed by Morio Asaka. The sequel was made by Artland, premiering in Japan on the Tokyo MX TV channel on January 7th, 2008. It ran for thirteen episodes. The Gunslinger series is set in modern day Italy, where young cybernetic robot girls are being used as assassins by their adult male handlers who are given directions on who to kill from a secretive government organization. The second series featured animation that was considered poorer than the first season. However its storyline was praised, as the Gunslinger Girl creator Yu Aida was involved as the season's chief writer and supervisor. The series is licensed to American DVD and television release by Funimation Entertainment.moreless
