Keicchi finds out that every year someones been murdered and another has gone missing on the day of the Festival. Keicchi becomes engulfed in the mystery and slowly uncovers what is happening while his friends grow paranoid or find themselves the victims of murder as well. Certain channels in Japan dropped the show for awhile due to the real life murder case of a police chief by his teenage daughter with a hatchet.moreless

As time ran out, the team had no other choice except to substitute him with Takumi a.k.a. "the Ghost of Akina" who was virtually unheard of in the field of street racing. The main action is centered in the beautiful mountains of the Kanto region and in their surrounding cities and towns with races emphasizing the art of drifting.
