Mel Wax heads up Hopeless Pictures, an indie movie studio named in honor of his deceased parents, Hope and Les. Mel struggles to keep the studio afloat while chaos abounds. Not only does poor Mel have to deal with neurotic pill-popping Swedish directors and vainglorious stars, but he has his rancorous soon-to-be ex-wife and moronic nephew, who also happens to be head of production, to cope with. “Hopeless Pictures”, an animated comedy, stars Micheal McKean as Mel Wax. Lisa Kudrow plays the vengeful almost ex-wife. Jennifer Coolidge plays Traci Minx, Pictures' head of development, as well as actress Nina Boroslova. Jonathan Katz is cast as Dr. Stein, and inept psychiatrist, and Bob Balaban plays the idiot nephew/head of production. IFC's Greg the Bunny

    IFC's Greg the Bunny

    IFC - Independent Film Channel
IFC's Greg the Bunny is the third TV show to feature the character of Greg the Bunny, a saucy hand puppet. The show aired from 2005 to 2006, and featured short segments, usually movie parodies starring Greg and his ape pal, Warren DeMontague. The character originated in a bi-weekly community access show called "Junktape" which aired on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network and was created by Spencer Chinoy, Sean S. Baker, and Dan Milano. IFC eventually picked up the show's characters to use as bumpers in between airings of independent films. In 2002, FOX ordered a season of a full Greg the Bunny sitcom. This time, Chinoy and Baker, who acted in the original series, stayed behind the camera as Seth Green played the role of Jimmy, Greg's roommate. It was cancelled after only one season. Three years later, Greg the Bunny's creative team returned to IFC, to produce more shorts. This time, several characters from the sitcom came with them, including the insanely popular Fredrick "Count Blah" Blah.moreless

Looking to distance himself from "Drunk Chicks," Vic converts to Judaism, changes his name to Vic Morgenstein, and attempts to produce/distribute a new independent film with Rufus. Along the way, he recruits his eccentric Japanese brother-in-law as an investor, former IFC producer Julia Sullivan (Kathleen Robertson) and a porn star turned leading lady. Modern Toss is a British partially-animated sketch comedy series created by Jon Link and Mick Bunnage and based on their cartoon series of the same name. The show features live actors like Simon Roberts, Fiona Terry, Christopher Rowe, and Camilla Corbett, as well as animated characters with voices provided by Ralph Brown, Mackenzie Crook, Anthony Davis, Paul Kaye, and many other talented voice actors. Each episode of this inventive and hilarious series features sketches that push the boundaries of comedy with absurdist premises and some truly bizarre characters. The show includes many recurring segments, such as Gnat Burglar, which follows a gigantic mosquito that causes chaos by sucking the contents out of one thing and injecting it into another, and Planet Chat, a talk show in the style of Jerry Springer where the aggressive and dramatic guests are all planets and celestial bodies. Modern Toss is a frenetic comedy series, full of fantastic characters and razor-sharp wit.moreless
