Welcome to The Wind in the Willows guide at TV.com! The series was made not with 'claymation', but rather with very expensive models made from latex foam. Combined with superb animation, the result was often so realistic you can forget that the characters are not alive.moreless

This is a very clever cartoon from Cosgrove-Hall, the same group that produced Dangermouse. It is about a vampire duck that, due to a mishap during the re-animation process, is now a vegetarian. He uses a special machine in his castle to transport it to different places in search of treasure, money, and fame as a dilettante of sorts. He is accompanied by Igor, the family butler, who, being a vulture possessed of a very strong bloodlust, is a believer in the Old Ways of being a vampire. He is disappointed that the Count is not as evil as the old Count used to be. Also in the castle is Nanny, the nursemaid. She is big and dimwitted, being a hen and perpetually has her arm in a sling. Duckula is constantly being hunted by Dr. Von Goosewing, a vampire hunter, who is a German goose with ever-failing inventions. Count Duckula broadcast history
In the USA, Count Duckula aired on Nickelodeon from 1988-1993.
It was also aired in the UK, on Channel 3.

Grim Tales starred Rik Mayall (The Young Ones), in every episode Rik (Dressed ready for bed) sat in a over stuffed chair complete with claws and legs and would tell whacky versions of such fairy tales as Rupunzel, and The Little Tailor. The stories were also told through cartoons and puppet animation that would appear while Rick was telling his story.moreless
