"David Alan Grier (In Living Color) and Delta Burke (Designing Women) star opposite each other in this playful White House comedy about a demoted Secret Service agent, Jerome Daggett (Grier), who must guard the demanding First Lady, Judith Whitman (Burke). The push and pull between them is the central relationship in the series." "Agent Daggett was one of the top men in his field, assigned to protect the President of the United States (guest star David Rasche, Sledge Hammer!), until one day when he dives away from the bullet during a failed assassination attempt on the President. While his friend, Agent Morton (Mel Jackson, NBC's Little Richard), takes over as head of the A-team, Daggett is re-assigned to the less glamorous B-team, protecting the First Lady, where he struggles to bring order to the unit. Some of the new challenges he must contend with are Edward Pillows (Stephen Dunham, Oh Grow Up), a tall, handsome guy who fancies himself a great agent, but who can't quite get his act together and Susan Cole (Emmy Laybourne, Superstar), an overzealous female agent who sleeps three hours a night and spends the rest of the time training. In addition, Daggett has his hands full with the First Lady's secretary, Ginger Chin (Lauren Tom, Grace Under Fire), a former grifter whom the First Lady met during a charity visit to the Maryland State Women's Center, Sullivan Pope (Paul F. Tompkins, Mr. Show), the power-mad First Lady's Chief of Staff and the First Family's beautiful teenage daughter, Camilla (Lea Moreno Young, Brutally Normal), the world's biggest security risk. Daggett's greatest challenge, of course, is the First Lady herself - a larger-than-life character who is brilliant, but kooky; strong, but needy; and self-absorbed, but with an endless wealth of compassion. Her public mask hides a wounded politician's wife who is determined to assert herself and take a more proactive role in the administration - even if doing so sets up rival camps between her staff and the President's team." This action adventure series was a joint effort from Disney and Steven J. Cannell productions. AKA: Disney Presents The 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage ========================== Summary 1: The story goes that Black Jack Savage a 17th century pirate was hung in the courtyard of his castle for his treacherous deeds, in order for him to escape hell he must save a life for every one he's taken. Now in modern day NY surfaces another Pirate of sorts "Barry Tarberry", he's been bad, swindiling the IRS out of funds and they want him, now to escape his purgatory Barry flies out of the country to a little island that will grant him immunity called San Pietro. He buys an estate, sight unseen that just happened to belong to Black Jack Savage. The ghost wants to strike a deal with Barry, for every life saved Barry can have half credit toward his own impending fate- the agreement sealed the 2 pirates start trying to save lives on this small carribean island. ====================== Summary 2: Long ago the evil pirate Black Jack Savage ruled over the sea. However, he was finally captured and was hanged for his crimes in the courtyard of his own castle. Years later Barry Tarberry, a world famous millionaire and ruthless man has been charged with stock market fraud. To escape his crime he comes to a small island paradise. Only to soon discover he's trapped with all his accounts seized by the government. He now has only an old castle the locals believe is haunted. To Barry's dismay, the owner of the castle is the only one able to see Black Jack Savage, who is living on another spiritual plain until he saves 100 lives for those he killed. Jack tells Barry that he is heading for the same fate unless he too saves lives with Jack. Barry and Jack work together keeping the secret from the entire island, who now believe he is crazy. In the process Barry falls in love with Danielle, who cares more for her people than a love sick man. Also there is Logan "FX" Murphy, the local inventor, who once worked for the government. He wants only to be payed but Barry strings him along for the ride. Barry and Jack bring the bad in and make the island safe for all again ========================== Filming Location: Florida, USA ========================== The Disney production THE 100 LIVES OF BLACK JACK SAVAGE/NBC/1991 told the tale of Black Jack Savage (Steven Williams), the ghost of a legendary 17th century Caribbean pirate who was teamed with Barry Tarberry (Daniel Hugh-Kelly), a crooked Wall Street wheeler-dealer who both needed to save 100 souls to compensate for the damage done by their sinful life. Unfortunately, once Black Jack left the safety of his castle haunt on San Pietro Island, he was fair game for the Snarks (who could transport Jack back to Hell through an entrance at the base the tree where he was originally hung). To battle the Snarks both Black Jack and his human counterpart Tarberry teamed up to defeat these hellish spirits so they could get about saving souls and thus win their way into salvation. Aiding them in their mission was inventor Logan "F.X." Murphy (Steve Hytner) who fashioned a "snark buster" (resembling a vacuum cleaner) to ward off these sniveling, soul snatching netherworld nuisances. Logan called the machine a "Proton Ion Positive Negative Field Adjuster." A con-artist millionaire to salvage souls of others in exchange for their own redemption from perdition. ====================== The Blackbird - The high-tech speedboat on the fantasy adventure THE 100 LIVES OF BLACK JACK SAVAGE/NBC/1991. The Blackbird was built by scientist inventor Logan "FX" Murphy (Steve Hytner) from the body of a SR71 spy plane to help his friend Barry Tarberry (Daniel Hugh-Kelly) battle crime around the Caribbean islands. The Blackbird moored at a secret dock at Blackbird Castle on San Pietro Island. The speedboat took its name from a pirate ship once captained by a 17th century buccaneer named Black Jack Savage (now a ghost who joined forces with Barry to win his way into heaven). =============== Production Companies * Stephen J. After the success of the two-hour movie "Hunter: Return to Justice" (2002), NBC brought "Hunter" back to TV after a 12-year hiatus. The original "Hunter" aired from 1984 to 1991. Original stars Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer returned as Rick Hunter and Dee Dee McCall for this updated version of "Hunter," the entertaining cop series that followed the story of a detective who bristled at authority within the Los Angeles Police Department, used a brash style to bring criminals to justice and tried to escape from the mob background of his family.

In "Hunter: Return to Justice" (2002) and "Hunter: Back in Force" (2003), Hunter relocated from Los Angeles to San Diego, where he meets up with his old partner, Dee Dee McCall. Eventually, the pair become partners again but this time as members of the San Diego Police Department. "Hunter (2003)" continues their story in San Diego as they chase criminals and even fight the military.

Unfortunately NBC did not attract as many viewers to the Saturday night time slot as they had hoped for and the new "Hunter" series was cancelled after just a few episodes.moreless

Originally intended to air on ESPN, the show centers on Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Wayne Gretzky fighting crime and helping children, often protecting the environment as well. These three were chosen to represent the pinnacle of all four major American professional sports in the early 1990s. While Jordan and Gretzky are widely considered to be the best to ever play their respective sports, it is accepted that Jackson was included since he could represent both football and baseball and was a high-profile celebrity off the field as well. A reference to his highly popular "Bo Knows" Nike ad-campaign was worked into almost every episode. Bo Jackson was a star player, but not analogous to Gretzky or Jordan. The stars appear in live action sequences before the show, and often answer questions from kids at the conclusion. Normally this is done solely by Gretzky and Jackson—often in separate sound stages and edited to appear as if talking to each other. Jordan's filmed bits are almost always one line or two, and not part of the skits before the episode. However, none of the celebrities provided their own voices for the animated segments of ProStars.moreless
