Money changes everything. Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to become a millionaire overnight? A group of 20 friends and acquaintances is about to find that out as they win $386 million in lottery on NBC's hot summer drama, Windfall. At the heart of the events is a close-knit group of four friends. Peter (Luke Perry, Jeremiah, Beverly Hills, 90210) and Nina Schaefer (Lana Parrilla, Boomtown) and their two kids are a seemingly happy family. Underneath, Nina still harbors feelings for her ex-boyfriend from college, Cameron Walsh (Jason Gedrick, Boomtown), rousing the suspicions of his wife Beth (Sarah Wynter, 24). Sean Mathers (D.J. Cotrona, Skin) is an ex-con with dark secrets that are in danger of being revealed when he wins the jackpot. Damien Cutler (Jon Foster, life as we know it) is a rebellious teenager who seeks independence of his parents. Frankie Townsend (Alice Greczyn, The Dukes of Hazzard, Quintuplets), a 16-year-old girl, finds herself in the middle of a family feud when her separated parents fight over the money. Rounding out the cast are Malinda Willliams (Soul Food) as Kimberly George, a 22-year-old single mother hoping to start a new life far away from the trailer park, and Jaclyn DeSantis (Luis, Road Trip) as Maggie Hernandez, a nurse who can't wait to spend her share of the fortune. Windfall is created by executive producer Laurie McCarthy (Felicity) and co-executive producer Gwendolyn Parker (Without a Trace, The Handler).moreless

In 1966, the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows premiered on ABC and ran for 5 years, making exactly 1,225 episodes. Today, it is known as one of the most popular cult classics of all time. In 1991, Dan Curtis remade the show as a weekly prime-time drama. NBC bought the series and aired it mid-season 1991. The series wasn't up to NBC's standards in ratings, so the network cancelled the show after only twelve one-hour episodes.

Dark Shadows: The Revival Series remade most of the beginning storylines and the episodes that transported Victoria Winters back to 1790 (in the original series, Victoria went back to 1795). The series starts with the resurrection of Barnabas Collins, who was released from his coffin by Willie Loomis, the bumbling caretaker on a quest for legendary family riches. Dr. Julia Hoffman attempts to cure his vampirism, and release him from the curse that Angelique Bouchard put on him two hundred years earlier. Later on, Victoria is transported to 1790 during a séance in which the Collins family was trying to contact Barnabas' sister, Sarah, who died in 1790. Trapped in the past, Victoria becomes the governess of Sarah and Daniel Collins, and the governess who was hired to tutor the children, Phyllis Wick, has taken Victoria's place in 1991. Victoria stays in 1790 for a while, and many people accuse her of being a witch for knowledge of the future and many other things. She is put on trial and Peter Bradford (her first friend in 1790 Collinsport) tries to save her from being hanged.moreless

Committed is the latest comedy with an edge from creators/executive producers Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline (“Roseanne,” “Murphy Brown” and “Ellen”) that casts an off-kilter eye on the bizarre whirlwind courtship of two opposites who attract each other despite outrageous circumstances. Brilliant yet neurotic Nate (Josh Cooke, “Century City”) is a tightly wound ball of phobias until he accidentally unravels when he meets eccentric yet eternally upbeat Marni (Emmy Award winner Jennifer Finnigan, NBC’s “Crossing Jordan”). As fearful Nate and fearless Marni awkwardly begin their mating dance -- amid the eclectic craziness of New York -- their relationship’s yin and yang somehow match despite a closet-full of obstacles. In fact, free spirit Marni has a “dying clown” (Tom Poston, “Newhart”) quietly living in her apartment’s closet (she inherited the homesteading clown, who came packaged with the apartment). Bowie (Darius McCrary, “Family Matters”), Nate’s friend and co-worker in a vintage record store, offers forceful advice while Marni contends with her sardonic friend Tess (Tammy Lynn Michaels, “The L Word”), the reluctant and semi-irresponsible nanny across the hall who might be even closer to the edge than she is. Tolerant and optimistic, Marni finds herself drawn to the endearing Nate despite his obsessive compulsions – and he can’t resist her loopy orbit in a quirky relationship straight out of Lewis Carroll’s looking glass. Unique as each one is, perhaps they’ll put their pieces together and defy the odds as they form an irresistible couple whose fresh connection may yet endure. He uncontrollably absorbed electricity and could fire it as lightning bolts or channel it into super-speed, but water caused him to short circuit, burning him with potentially fatal results and forcing him to retire as a musician; Gloria "Glo" Dinallo, A 17 year old street delinquent, whose father was supposedly an alien, who could move anything she could see with her mind via telekinesis and was romantically interested in Johnny. While at the edge of the bay, Jimmy climbs aboard a talking boat that beckons to him. As it drifts out to sea, an evil witch named Witchiepoo, seeking Freddie to add to her collection of magical possessions, casts a spell and makes the boat turn into an evil boat which attacks Jimmy (who then jumps overboard to save himself). Swimming to the shore of Living Island, Jimmy is rescued by its mayor, H. R. Pufnstuf, and his Rescue Racer crew (Kling and Klang) before Witchiepoo can get her hands on the boy or the magic flute. They befriend Jimmy, sheltering and protecting him from the kooky old witch. Everything on Living Island is alive. Books have faces, houses sneeze and trees can talk, not to mention the regular citizens who all look like an animal of some sort. Dr Blinky is an Owl, Ludicrous is a Lion and Judy Frog is; well she's a frog and the only character I didn't like as a child. And then there is the evil Witchiepoo.
