Hank and Dean Venture, with their father Doctor Venture and faithful bodyguard Brock Samson, go on wild adventures facing megalomaniacs, zombies, and suspicious ninjas, all for the glory of adventure. Or something like that. Hank and Dean Venture are relatively identical twins, only born four minutes apart, who live for the thrill of adventure. Their dated vocabulary and high-pitched voices are intentionally annoying, especially to their father, Doctor Venture, a boy genius turned mediocre scientist who hates everything about his life. In the midst of this conflict is Brock Samson, a man of swift neck-breaking action. Preferring to resort to his brawn instead of his brain, Brock is simple but effective, and does a better job at taking care of the kids than Doctor Venture, as long as they leave his treasured Dodge Charger alone. The Venture Brothers is a take off of Johnny Quest and the Hardy Boys.moreless

    The WB (ended 2005)
Jackie Chan is now a cartoon character in his very own television series, battling to obtain the 12 magic talismans, each containing its very own power. He and his Uncle get a visit from Jackie's niece - Jade - and that's when Jackie finds out about Section 13 and the magic talismans which the Dark Hand are trying to retrieve to free the trapped Dragon, Shendu, from his prison of stone, so he will give them the lost treasure of Shen Che Hun. Jackie Chan defeated the Dark Hand almost every time, so Shendu had to use his own allies - The Shadowkhan - to help them destroy Jackie Chan. All the talismans that were found were placed in high security in Section 13. While Jackie continued to obtain each and every talisman, the Dark Hand also tried to figure out where Section 13 was located to steal the talismans and continue searching for the remaining stones. Soon, all of the talismans were collected and Shendu was freed from his stone form. Now, he was able to roam the Earth and destroy all of Asia, but Jackie Chan, with Uncle and Jade, stopped him and Jade destroyed him. In the second season, Shendu's spirit is told by his brothers and sisters that he should've released them when he was in the real world and they put a spell on him to possess a person to get the Pan Ku box and remain in that person's body until all of the 7 demon sorcerers are released (he wants to possess Jackie). If he fails, the torment on Shendu will begin. After taking over Valmont's body mistakenly, he must free the other demons to reign chaos on the planet. He then possessed the Pan Ku Box which can release his fellow demons at different rendezvous points and bring chaos upon the Earth and to destroy Jackie Chan. Jackie continues to search for the Pan Ku box and retrieve it before the Dark Hand actually sends a demon he cannot defeat with Uncle, Jade, and Tohru. After this is over, Jackie goes through many different adventures until towards the end of the season, we are introduced to a Dark Chi Wizard named Daolon Wong. At the end of the season, Daolon Wong takes a interest towards the Talismans, hoping to absorb their powers and make himself invincible. In the third season, just as Jackie is ready to retire from Section 13, Daolon Wong and the Dark Hand break into Section 13, trying to steal the talismans. But Jackie blows up the talismans, and Uncle imprisons Daolon Wong's original Dark Chi Warriors. So they must now save the talisman-powered animals from Daolon Wong and his newly Dark Chi warriorized servants: Finn, Ratso, and Chow with Hak Foo coming later. Even at the time, Daolon Wong resurrected Shendu to get the power of combustion. After Shendu was reverted back to a statue and Daolon Wong (who was stripped from most of his magic) and the enforcers (who have been returned to their true forms) have been arrested, the talismans popped out of Shendu during the defeat. In the fourth season, Jackie must stop Tarakudo the Shadowkhan King and the enforcers from collecting the 9 Omni masks (which used to be his generals) of power that will allow him to control the Shadowkhan. In the fifth season, Jackie must stop Drago from absorbing the chi of his aunts and uncles, the Demon Sorcerers, from the original items that were used by the 8 Immortals to banish them to the Demon Netherworld. Jackie Chan Adventures was nominated for three awards at the Emmy Awards for 2001 and 2002. The series was nominated for the 2001 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by Robert Duran (supervising sound editor), and Roshaun Hawley (dialogue editor/adr editor). Nominated for the 2002 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing - Special Class, received by the same crew members as last year, and for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing - Special Class. Welcome to the Tenchi Muyo! GXP guide at TV.Com.

Seina Yamada is the most unlucky guy in the World. To make things worse, bad luck always seems to occur to those around Seina as well. His luck may be changing though. Seina is one of the first earthlings admitted into the GP, and he has tons of girls chasing after him. Will Seina be able to survive? Find out on Tenchi Muyo! GXP.

As the first Tenchi-related series to be fully computer animated, the producers of Tenchi Muyo! GXP were able to make two different versions of the show. The Japanese DVD release features scenes that are slightly different to the TV broadcast version. In most cases, these altered scenes replace some backgrounds with more detailed versions, recompose some shots and remove the towels from the female characters in the bath.

FUNimation is the studio that wrote up GXP translated scripts, and they've tried to remain faithful. GXP is the first work FUNi has done outside their studio, as they went to Animaze for the VA's, but as always, translations lose some meanings. Luckily, the FUNi DVD's contain both the English and Japanesse versions, so you can see the differences.

To see these changes, and more of the details mentioned above, watch Tenchi Muyo! GXP. All 8 volumes and a starter pack are now available from FUNimation.

English opening them song: You know you bring me sadness, midnight. You ought to give me your love midnight! With no warning, while I ate an apple today, I realized I'm not a child, and that's the way it stays. I'm looking for a dreary love that's wandered far away. I close me eyes and try to live for today. I really think I love you, oh, but the red moon is watching my every move. I reach out my hand to touch your soft face . . . you're so close. You know you bring me sadness midnight. You ought to give me your love, midnight! I can see deep within your puzzled eyes, My passion's not alone. The sun comes out at midnight. Will you love me, midnight?

English closing theme song: You're the worst, the most unlucky, boy in all the universe. I don't really care what you do. I don't really care what you do. You know you can't escape disaster, Even if you're careful, you're still a potential disgrace. I don't really care what you do. I really don't care what you do. You've got accident and trouble sent, written boldly all over your face. Aaah . . . Unlucky boy . . . You're such an unlucky boy, you're such an unlucky boy, so full of woe. You're just a walking time bomb anywhere you go. Even so, you're the only boy I want to know.moreless

Together, with my stalwart sidekick, Arthur, and the magnanimous help of some other folks I know, we form the yin to villainy's malevolent yang. Destiny has chosen us. Wicked men! You face...The Tick!" The life of a superhero is not easy. There are not enough dangers. However, someone must fight evil and protect good. The few who face this challenge have to leave behind comfort, security and a little sanity. Jumping from roof to roof in one single jump, the mysterious blue justice defender The Tick (Patrick Warburton) patrols The City, and his limited knowledge of human life doesn't interfere with his desire to protect society. The frustrated and well-behaved accountant known as Arthur (David Burke) left his job to join The Tick as The Moth, and now they're a crime-fighting duo. Arthur has always secretly wished being a superhero. Well, not so secretly, since he used his moth outfit (which looks more like a bunny) to work. On this fight against injustice, The Tick also counts on Batmanuel (Nestor Carbonell), a Latino superhero who never promotes himself without a worthy cause. His kryptonite is Captain Liberty (Liz Vassey), the government's number one weapon on the battle against supervillains. The Tick is based on the 'cult' comic character created by Ben Edlund. There was an animated version a few years ago. Check it out here. Originally planned as a 2000-2001 midseason replacement after The Simpsons on Sunday nights, and apparently never thought of as anything more than strike filler for a writer's strike which never happened, FOX toppers Sandy Grushow and Gail Berman changed their minds, keeping Malcolm in the Middle in the slot for another year and pushing The Tick back to fall. When The Tick finally went on the air, it was dumped on Thursdays. They didn't promote it very much, and needless to say, it didn't last very long.moreless

    NBC (ended 1974)
This is the further adventures of the Star Trek series in a half-hour animated form. This show basically continues the adventures of the original series (presumably in the fourth year of the five-year mission), but takes advantage of the unlimited special effects provided by animation to introduce more alien crewmen (the felinoid M'Ress and the tripedal Arex) as well as introduce more elaborate adventures like an underwater adventure, the miniaturization of the crew to 1 cm., and the appearance of a giant fire-breathing two-headed dragon. The show is currently not considered "canon" by Paramount and the folks associated with the various subsequent TV shows. However, elements of the animated series have been used in subsequent shows (Sarek refers to the events of "Yesteryear" in TNG's "Reunification Pt. 1") and the Enterprise-D's holodeck seems to have been in part inspired by the holodeck we see in "Practical Joker". Also, writers such as Peter David have used some elements from the animated series in the books and comics. Although produced on the cheap (note the incredibly static backgrounds, recycled animations, and the fact that James Doohan, Nichelle Nichols, and Majel Barrett do about 95% of the guest voices), the script writing and concepts (mostly by writers from the original series) are generally of high quality (the show won an Emmy for best Children's Programming in '73) and the show is in many worthy of inclusion in the Trek annals.moreless

    Animorphs

    Nickelodeon (ended 1999)
We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. So we don't trust anyone. Because if they find us ... well, we just won't let them find us. The things you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even You.

Animorphs was originally based on the book series created by K.A. Applegate. Most of the episodes that have appeared are based on one of the books, but some are totally created by one of the Television crew. In this battle against parasitic aliens, called Yeerks, five children, Jake played by Shawn Ashmore, Rachel played by Brooke Nevin, Marco played by Boris Cabrera, and Tobias who is played by Christopher Ralph; was given the power to morph into any creature by an Andalite named Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul (Diego Matamoros) to fight Visser Three (Eugene Lipinski) and his fellow Yeerks. An Andalite who is named Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill (Paulo Costanzo), the brother of Elfangor joins the battle along the Animorphs.

It has been over five years since the Animorphs joined up, and given the power to morph into creatures, to fight the evil Yeerks. It was an amazing battle; the Animorphs had some good times, and some bad times, but they were always together, trying to save the world.

It was June 1996, when the first Animorphs book was released by K.A. (Katherine) Applegate, and now, the last book written was in 2001. The count of 54 regular Animorph books, 4 Megamorphs, 4 Chronicles, and 2 Alternamorphs, and including 26 episodes of the Animorphs TV Series, and an incredible supply of merchandise (transformers, games, etc...) and a television show in 1998 due to the rising popularity of the books.

Now, that huge battle between good and evil, the human race fighting along side with the Andalites, and many other species, battling against the parasitic aliens, Yeerks, has ended.

However, due to ratings and the show's inability to outdo the ratings FOX's Goosebumps had achieved the previous year, Nickelodeon's executives abruptly ended the show in the fall of 1999; there was no "big finish" finale and the show never had its own version of the books' ending between the Animorphs and Visser Three. Since the books would outdo the show into early 2000, there had been no plan for an ending anyway. However, it would have been too costly to follow like the books' ending, since the series' conclusion involved a nuclear strike on the Yeerk pool and many other horrific (hard to do with Nickelodeon's budget) battles.moreless

Do the Mario! Swing your arms from side to side Come on it's time to go Do the Mario! Take one step And then again Let's do the Mario All together now! Come on now! Just like that! Character Guide Mario Mario The main character, and unofficial leader of the heroes. Being a plumber, he can can do just about anything that involves plumbing, and he can use plumbing tools for a lot more than just plumbing! Mario also has a huge taste for Italian food. On this show, he and Luigi got sucked down a drain in Brookyln which took them to the Mushroom Kingdom, and now they have to find their way home. Luigi Mario Mario's younger brother. Although he tends to have a more cowardly attitude towards danger than Mario, he's probably the saner of the two. Unfortunately for Luigi, the others tend to treat him like a fall boy, causing him to end up doing a lot of dirty work. Like his bro, he's a plumbing pro, and he has a fondness for Italian cuisine. Princess Peach Toadstool She's the ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, which has been taken over by the Koopas. She's also the most reasonable thinker of the group. She and the Marios have to find a way to stop the Koopas so she can reclaim her kingdom. NOTE: On the cartoons, she was never called Peach, so the guide will usually refer to her as Princess or sometimes Princess Toadstool for continuity's sake. Please refer to her as Princess in your submissions. Toad Princess' assistant. Toad often has a lot to say, and usually cracks jokes here and there. Though he doesn't look like he's capable of much, he's proven he can pull through when things get tough, and is often fairly resourceful. King Bowser Koopa The leader of the Koopa Troop is big, bad, and proud of it. He's friends with no one, and even his henchmen are treated poorly by him. However, he does have a sense of humor, and it shows. His goal in life is to conquer the Mushroom World, one land at a time. He usually hangs out with either Mouser, Triclyde, a Troopa, or sometimes all three of them. In many episodes, he will don a costume and go by a different name, usually just for the heck of it. NOTE: On this show, he was never called Bowser, so the guide will usually refer to him as Koopa for continuity's sake. Please refer to him as Koopa in your submissions. Important Notes for Submitting information: Episode Recap: An episode recap should be VERY detailed, almost narrating the episode. One should be able to read a recap and have as much knowledge of the episode as someone who saw the episode. We encourage you to submit an episode recap if you able to watch any episode. Episode Notes: Notes should provide key information in little bullet points. But I still want all notes in complete sentences. Goofs: Goofs should follow the same format as Notes. Please make sure that when you submit a goof, the REASON it is a goof is clearly mentioned or understood. Quotes: Quotes need to follow a specific format or they will not be accepted. For single-line quotes: Hello, I'm Mario! For conversations: Mario: Hello, I'm Mario! Luigi: Hi. I am Luigi! Koopa: Hello! I'm your king, Koopa! For simultaneous speaking: Mario: Hello, I'm Mario!
