Real-life brothers Nat and Alex Wolff set out to prove that rock and roll isn't just for adults in this rock-mockumentary parody, with songs composed by the Wolff brothers themselves. As for being based on real life, the series is created by the siblings mom, Polly Draper ("thirtysomething" actress), who also serves as chief writer, executive producer, and director. Draper's husband and Nat and Alex's dad, jazz pianist Michael Wolff (former music director of "The Arsenio Hall Show") stars as the accordion playing dad on the show, who also serves as music supervisor/producer. The path to super stardom is a long, difficult one. The cameras follows Nat and Alex through their concerts, their rehearsals, and their private lives, as they deal with the growing pains related to love, friendship, and fame. Do the boys have what it takes to make it in the music business? By the music business we mean The Naked Brothers Band consisting of Nat and Alex Wolff, Allie DiMeco (as Rosalina), Cooper Pillot as the band's manager, David Levi, Thomas Batuello, and Qaasim Middleton.moreless

Spectacular! is a musical made-for-TV film directed by Robert Iscove for Nickelodeon that centers on the rocking turmoil of lead singer Nikko Alexander (Nolan Gerard Funk), whose diva and careless behavior gets him dumped from his rock band, Flux, and by his girlfriend Amy (Britt Irvin). As he's left to wallow in his newfound solo position, a fan Courtney Lane (Tammin Sursok) tries to get Nikko to join in her group, a show choir called Spectacular!, even going so far as to offer him half the show's earnings though he refuses. But when he gets a shot at a record deal on the condition he can afford the equipment for the demo, Nikko joins Spectacular! Nikko learns that it is hard work to make it work as a singer and a dancer as well as a member of a team. Determined to beat the rival group Ta-Da, led by Courtney's ex-boyfriend (Simon Curtis) and his new snobby girlfriend Tammi (Victoria Justice), and to prove himself to Flux, Nikko secretly begins to teach the rest of Spectacular! a whole different dance routine. When things start to fall apart, the former male diva begins to realize that there's more to life than being the solo star and life can existent as a member of a group.moreless
