Cats + Cash = Chaos! From creator and executive producer Doug TenNapel comes a wild new comedy about three brothers. Catscratch's stars are Mr. Blik, Gordon and Waffle, who happen to be cats, which were raised in a mega-mansion by Mrs. Edna Cramdilly. After her death, Edna left her house and all her money to the cats. The rich kitties live a wild life of freedom and adventure and they can't seem to keep out of trouble. Sibling rivalry abounds as the brothers have very different and unique personalities. Mr. Blik is the bossy leader of the group who will let nothing stop him in his quest to be the best. Gordon, although a messy eater, is honest and loyal, and has a huge crush on Human Kimberly, the neighbor. Waffle is the silly, pushover, happy-go-lucky guy of the bunch, who happens to be as dumb as a stump. Hovis was Edna's long-serving butler who has stayed on to look after the cats. Although he is not thrilled with his new masters he puts up with them. Human Kimberly is the cats' 8-year-old neighbor and friend, and the recipient of Gordon's huge crush. Last but not least in the list of characters is Gear, the brothers' ultra-macho monster truck. The cats have a rival--wait, did we say "rival"? We meant "rivals" named the Chumpy Chumps. The cats are adventurers so they have their own adventures as they encounter and battle cat-hating mouses, other cats, cat-hating dogs, dangerous bears, bad gangs, creepy monsters, giant squids, homeless bums, Kimberly's friends, attacking zombies, unknown bad luck, cute bunnies, scary aliens, man-eating sharks, good vets, evil club owners and guards, helpful lobsters, evil robots, bullying alley cats, dangerous static electricity, big mammoths, exploding bombs, and, of course, mall jobs. Character Guide: Mr. Blik: The self proclaimed leader of the three, He loves both deceit and money. Gordon: Gordon is a Scottish cat who will stand up for any of his brothers. He has a major crush on Human Kimberly. Waffle: The silly one of the three brothers, he can be tricked easily, and Gordon nearly always stands up for him. Hovis: The cat's butler, he hates Mr. Blik, and he seems to hate being a butler. He is also a Handy Helper at times. Gear: The cat's car. Gear is a monster truck the cats cruise in. Blik also modeled him to turn into a spaceship. Human Kimberly: The cats' neighbor and friend, she is the only girl that is a main character on this cartoon.moreless

The Adventures of Pete & Pete

    Follow
    Nickelodeon (ended 1996)
The Adventures of Pete and Pete was a surreal comedy in which a peaceful suburban neighborhood was a strange and skewed world as seen through the eyes of pre-teens. Wellsville, USA contained many different unique characters, such as: two brothers that were both named Pete, the metal plate in their mom's head, Artie the spandex-wearing super-hero, and Petunia, little Pete's tatoo. The Adventures of Pete and Pete originated as a series of one-minute vignettes in 1990, was expanded into a series of five specials, and then became a regular series in late 1993. The show was filmed in Leonia, New Jersey. Episodes (or portions of episodes) were also filmed in the New Jersey towns of South Orange and Cranford. The theme song to the show is called "Hey Sandy" and is sung by the band Polaris. The band has an album entitled Music from the Adventures of Pete & Pete that features nothing but songs from the show. The lyrics to the theme song are as follows: Hey smilin' strange, you're lookin' happily deranged Can you settle to shoot me? Or have you picked your target yet, hey Sandy ai yai yai yai... Don't you talk back, ai yai yai yai, hey Sandy Four feet away, end of speech it's the end of the day We was only funnin', but guiltily I thought you had it comin', hey Sandy, ai yai yai yai Don't ya talk back, ai yai yai yai, hey Sandy, hey... In 1995, The Adventures of Pete and Pete received a Cable Ace Award for Outstanding Children's Series. In recent years, The Adventures of Pete and Pete made its first release on DVD in 2005 under the Rewind Collection title. The Nickelodeon company apparently gave in to demands by fans of the "cult classic" and released the first season of the series along with Nick's other classic show, "Clarissa Explains it All" in May 17th 2005. Sadly, the Rewind Collection's only other release as of now is the second season of P&P, released in November 11, 2005. Although the third and final season was scheduled for a February 28, 2005 release, it has been completely removed from the release schedule without any excuse.moreless

    Double Dare

    Double Dare

    Follow
    Nickelodeon (ended 2000)
Double dare is undoubtedly the phenomenon that made Nickelodeon what it is today. The rules go something like this:Each round starts off with a toss-up physical challenge. Whoever wins gets $10 and control of the game. Host Marc Summers (Jason Harris in Double Dare 2000) asks the winning team a question. If they don't know the answer or think the other team doesn't have a clue, they can dare them to answer it for double the dollars. But they have to be careful because they can double dare the first team back for 4 times the amount. Then, they either have to answer the question or take a physical challenge. In round 2, dollar values are doubled. The winner of the game moves on to the obstacle course, where they navigate through 8 obstacles and they win a prize for each obstacle. If they make it through all 8 obstacles, they win the grand prize. Double Dare history On October 6, 1986, the first episode of Double Dare was taped at WHYY studios in Philadelphia. In 1987, Nickelodeon decided to create a short-lived weekend edition called Super Sloppy Double Dare, which was cancelled after about 20 episodes. One year later, in 1988, Fox bought syndication rights from Nickelodeon, so they created another short-lived edition called Family Double Dare. Because Fox wanted more adult material on their network, Family Double Dare was canned after 13 episodes. But the good news: the original Double Dare was still in production.Later, in 1989, other kids game shows came into play, thus causing Double Dare's ratings to drop a little. So Nickelodeon reincarnated Super Sloppy Double Dare and dusted it off to incorporate the "super sloppiness". This version of Super Sloppy Double Dare lasted about one season, but it had 100 episodes, plus a bunch of special episodes. Then, in 1990, Nickelodeon reincarnated Family Double Dare, redesigning the Fox version. A year later, in 1991, because of these new spin-offs, the original Double Dare was cancelled, but its spin-offs remain. In 1992, a two-episode spin-off called Super Special Double Dare was created. In Super Special Double Dare, Nickelodeon celebrities played against each other (usually boys against girls). In the first episode of Super Special Double Dare, the cast of Clarissa Explains It All played against the cast of Welcome Freshmen. The second episode was the NBA All-star special. In 1993, the last season was shown. Harvey had to quit his job of announcer because of the birth of his son Caleb. So Doc Holiday took over. The final episode was the hour-long Family Double Dare Tournament of Cahmpions, which pitted the smartest and fastest teams against each other. After that, Double Dare was officially cancelled, but Family Double Dare played reruns until 1999. Like Marc Summers said in his autobiography, Everything In Its Place, "We had enough episodes on tape to do reruns forever".That could have been the end of Double Dare...until January 22, 2000! Double Dare was reincarnated as Double Dare 2000. Jason Harris was the new host of this short-lived revival of Double Dare. The preview Snick episode of Double Dare 2000 pitted the cast of the Amanda Show and the cast of 100 Deeds For Eddie McDowd against each other. The show was cancelled in December of 2000, but, just like the other Double Dare spin-offs, reruns are shown on Nickelodeon GASmoreless

    Nickelodeon (ended 2006)
When you've got a rapping, record producing dad, two brothers and a sister to deal with, life can be pretty crazy. But aspiring rapper and middle school b-ball star Romeo Miller never loses his cool. Well, almost never. Music holds the Miller family together, and no matter how much they argue or get on each other's nerves, they always end up in harmony. Well, almost always... Tune in and raise the roof with real-life father-and-son team Master P and Lil' Romeo! Character Guide Romeo Miller: Romeo wants to make it big and he wants to make it big NOW! A little bit rapper and a little bit basketball star, Romeo is a whole lot of mischievous. He's quick to find himself in trouble, but he's just as quick to sweet talk his way out of any situation. Romeo digs shooting hoops, rapping with his group Pieces of the Puzzle, and hanging with his family-which is a good thing, since they also happen to be in his band. He has a vivid imagination and wants to conquer the world-but first he's gotta conquer middle school... Percy Miller: Percy's a hard-working record executive who deals with musicians all day long-which is a piece of cake compared to what he deals with at home. Percy's a great dad who always seems to find out about the trouble his four kids are getting into, even when he's on the road. His musical talent definitely rubbed off on his kids, who are determined to make it in the music biz. But they won't be getting an easy in from Dad-Percy's favorite piece of fatherly advice is that "If you want something bad enough, you'll figure out how to get it on your own." Jodi Miller: Romeo's older sister Jodi gets straight As, is supremely popular and has tons of boyfriends and a booming voice she lends to the family band. Jodi's got it goin' on-and she knows it. Though she tries to make it seem like being so together comes naturally, she works hard to stay on top. Jodi's biggest pet peeve? Being told what to do. She's got all the answers and thinks she's always right-until her dad comes home, at least. Louis Testaverde: Though he wasn't born into the family, the newest member of the Miller clan has certainly become a crucial part of the mix-not to mention the band. The Millers adopted Louis a few years back, and he quickly became Romeo's best friend and partner in crime. Unlike his brother Romeo, who's like a magnet for trouble, Louis likes to think things through. Not that all that thinking ever stops him from going along with Romeo's convoluted schemes anyway... Gary Miller: Gary's the baby of the Miller family. He looks up to his brothers, sister and dad, and can basically get away with whatever he wants because he's got the cute thing going on. Gary's also a member of the family band, Pieces of the Puzzle. He's got a great ear for music, but his musical tastes don't always do it for the rest of the family. But hey, he's only six! Myra Salinger: Myra's the Millers' next door neighbor and Romeo's enemy number one. She's had a crush on Romeo since...well...forever, and the fact that he's becoming a big time musician only makes her more determined to be his girlfriend. But even though Myra is completely and totally annoying, Romeo can't deny she's a great listener, and sometimes even asks her advice when there's no one else around. And believe it or not, he usually doesn't regret it. Usually! Angeline: (Season 3-) When Angeline met Percy a year ago, it was clear her life was never going to be the same. After they got married, she became the Miller kids' stepmom. Angeline's an extremely kind, loving and smart mom, and she keeps the Millers on their toes with her uncanny ability to figure out what everyone in the room is thinking-just by looking at them! As an architect, Angeline uses blueprints to plan her projects, but it looks like she's already got the Millers all mapped out! Mrs. Rogers: (Season's 1-2 only) Mrs.Rogers is the Live-in nanny for the Miller family, although she cant do the same things as all the other Nanny's like cook, clean, or help the children with their homework, shes still good and funny. Opening Theme Song Lyrics Hey Ro watch and flo, Its time for The Romeo Show, Holla Romeo Show now Romeo's on now, Stop what ya doing 'cause Romeo's on now. I'm ready to rumble, Mix it like gumbo, The Romeo Show, Competition I crumble, I mean I can't be stopped, I will not quit, 'cause me and the man make straight up hits. So adi adi oh, Adi adi Ro, It's time for the Romeo show, Where kids have fun they can catch ya get some, Peer pressure aint nuthin, Real life outcome, Okay! Fifteen

    Fifteen

    Follow
    Nickelodeon (ended 1993)
Fifteen follows the lives of High School students and deals with a variety of issues including dating, alcohol abuse, and friends. The series started in Canada, under the name Hillside, on YTV in 1990, but eventually was released, as Fifteen, in the US on Nickelodeon in 1991. Only 65 episodes had been produced until Nick stopped production in 1993. Fifteen was a soap opera for teens, and was Nickelodeon's first attempt at a teen soap opera. The basis of the show was the trials and tribulations of our teenage years, and the plots usually dealt with the struggles to fit in, alcohol, relationships, and school. The show is pretty simple, but overly melodramatic. The characters are all pretty much easy to understand. There was Matt, who was the show's resident athlete. He played basketball, and was an alcoholic. Then there was his girlfriend Ashley. She was sweet and charming, bubbling in innocence. Then she got caught cheating on a test and got sent to another school by her parents. Her stay at the other school lasted just long enough for Matt to ask out another girl, then Ashley returned. Eventually she dumped Matt for the evil (in relative terms) Chris. After that she had multiple boyfriends. Billy was Courtney's younger friend. Billy enjoyed hanging out with Dylan, much to his sister's dismay. When their parents split up, Courtney had been something of a guardian to Billy. Inevitably, Courtney falls for Dylan. Jake never played a huge role. He was always that nice guy who finishes last. Cindy was a minor character at best, and never seen after the first season. I do remember her saying this, however: "This whole school is an ecological disaster area!" Also fodder for season one was Theresa. As dense as she was, she did manage to expose the evil Brooke. Brooke was pure evil. She seemed intent on breaking up Matt and Ashley. She came close but never quite succeeded. In season one she had an understudy named Kelly, who eventually betrayed her and busted her for cheating on a paper. The split didn't help Kelly's fortunes, because she was gone after season one. During season two, Brooke recruited another partner in crime. Well, maybe not recruited. Janice (who got her start in show biz on You Can't Do That On Television. Yaay!) joined her ranks, but she was wholly hated. Then there was the "cool rebel" Dylan who had a rock band. I don't remember buying any releases from them though. The band broke up approximately 632 times, but always seemed to reform. Billy was even drummer for them once. Apparently Dylan was so popular a character that Nick thought a clone of him was in order. Thus we had Chris. Like Dylan, Chris never seemed to do anything extremely bad, be just looked like a loser.moreless

Caitlin Seeger is a tough, streetwise orphan from Philadelphia, who thumbs her nose at authority until a run-in with the law forces her to make a pretty tough choice: do some time in juvenile hall or move out to Montana to live with her distant cousins. Even though she doesn't always make the best decisions, this one's a no-brainer. Luckily, her cousins have a son her age and she finds a trusted companion- a horse named Bandit who's even wilder than she is. Learning to live together and respect each other's differences is no easy task for Caitlin and her new family, but her friends, her strong personality and her love of photography help her make it through. Life in Montana may be different than life in the city, but it's definitely an adventure!
Character Guide: Caitlin Seeger: Deep down, 14-year-old Caitlin Seeger is a really good kid, but years of growing up in a foster home and protecting herself from early disappointments have made her hard-nosed, defensive and independent. A new start in rural Montana with her distant cousins might be the remedy for her years of hard knocks, but the adjustment is going to take time. Caitlin may act a little tough sometimes, but hey, that's just her way. Griffen Lowe: Griffen is Caitlin's 14-year-old cousin who has a pretty difficult time sharing his home and family with his rebellious relative. Griffen is the uptight good kid to Caitlyn's carefree mischievous kid. An over achiever, Griffen's pretty popular and even started his own rock band--but he still catches a lot of flak from Caitlyn for being too concerned about his future. Though they're very different and they're often at each other's throats, Griffen and Caitlyn learn to trust each other and actually end up becoming close friends. Dori Lowe: Dori Lowe is a 38-year-old veterinarian and the person most responsible for saving Caitlin from her difficult life in Philadelphia. Of the Lowes, Dori is Caitlin's closest relative, so she believes it's her duty to step in and help. Dori was a city girl who traded skyscrapers for wildlife once too, so she can identify with Caitlyn and becomes a truly positive influence on her cousin's life. Jim Lowe: Jim is a man of fairness and discipline. As the local sheriff and Caitlin's new father figure, Jim's got a double-shot of trouble getting on Caitlin's good side- she doesn't exactly excel at dealing with authority! But he's a decent and understanding guy, so chances are, he and Caitlin will eventually grow to appreciate each other-and maybe learn a few things about themselves along the way. Bandit: Saving someone's life is a sure-fire way to make a new friend. When Bandit, a wild buckskin stallion, saves Caitlin from a rabid wolf, he gains a friend for life. Following their extraordinary introduction, Bandit chooses to stay at the Lowe ranch rather than return to the wilds of High River Canyon. Now he's Caitlin's trusted companion, and he's perfect for the job--he'll never share her secrets, and he's a great listener too! What has the cast been doing since the end of Taina? Christina Vidal (Taina) starred in the ABC series 10-8 in September 2003 as Deputy Gabriela Lopez. But, it was canceled in January 2004. Christina has also guest starred in series such as The Nick Cannon Show (Along side Khalilah Adams (Renee), Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and twice on Second Time Around. She was also featured in movies like Chasing Papi and Freaky Friday! Other cast members Josh Cruze (Eduardo Morales) and Selenis Leyva (Tita Rosa) have guest starred in other shows. Characters Taina: She's got the talent, the heart and the skills to make it HUGE as an entertainer—or at least that's what she thinks. Actually, Taina probably will be a star, but that doesn't change how weird it can be living life as a teen with big dreams in NYC. With the help of her friends and family, though, Taina just may become the next big thing! Renee: Renee's going to be a comedian when she graduates, but until she does, she'll be fine-tuning her material on Taina, her best friend for life. And although they help each other out and crack each other up, Renee doesn't laugh about getting Taina's back. They're tight like that. Lamar: Lamar's Taina's friend who secretly wishes he was much more than that. Yeah, Lamar's into Taina in a major way, but he's definitely too shy to do anything about it. As he waits for the perfect time to spill his guts, Lamar stands by Taina every step of the way—when his face isn't glued behind his video camera, that is. Daniel: Daniel is basically Lamar's other half. He shares a locker with Taina, so he sometimes gets the inside scoop on all that "girl stuff." But you can trust Daniel with confidential info, so it's cool. And he can play almost any style of music on almost any instrument, which comes in handy when your friends want to be stars! Maritza: Maritza is Taina's beautiful and talented arch Nemesis! The two have been rivals since kindergarten, and Maritza won't let anything get between her and success! Except Taina, of course. Eduardo: Taina's dad is a sensible, professional guy who also really loves music—he actually designs music programs for computers. Eduardo worries about Taina and watches out for her, but his affection for the guitar really keeps him in touch with her dreams too. Gloria: Gloria is fair and tough, but she loves music almost as much as she loves her family. The passion for the songs she and her sister sang as little girls has been passed onto her daughter—along with her good looks! Abuelo: Gregorio is Taina's grandfather, and he's ultra-supportive of everything she tries to do. But he also plays another important role: Taina's constant reminder of her Puerto Rican roots. Abuelo never lets her forget them. Tita: Tita is Taina's aunt. When she's not reminiscing with Tai's mom Gloria about their youth together, aunt Tita's out with Taina shopping, laughing and gossiping. That's what aunts are for. Santito: Like any good little brother, Santito adores his big sister—but he still gets huge laughs out of sabotaging her plans every once in a while. He's only 6, after all. He's got to have some fun! Theme Song "Gonna Be A Star" You know I can't wait to see my name in lights No one's gonna stop me you'll see I will go far (what's her name?) Taina, Taina I always have dreams of me being a star You'll be sayin' my name I've got love in my heart I will play any part Of the game You'll be sayin' my name See my star shining bright I will reach any high Where's my name Editors Head Editor - me_charmed_1 No additional editors needed at this time. The characters that inhabit Richard Scarry's "Busytown" books are successfully brought to television, in this clever cartoon adaptation, produced by CINAR FILMS in Canada. The series shows us the lives of the many residents of Busytown, but the focus is mainly the Cat family - Mother and Father Cat, and Huckle and Sally, the kids. Also living with the Cats is a worm named Lowly, who goes to school with Huckle. The assortment of other characters, including Sgt. Murphy (patient peacekeeper of the Busytown Police Dept.), Mr. Fixit (the trash-is-treasure town repairman), and Bananas Gorilla (a clumsy jobless gorilla, who would do anything for a banana) all keep the city humming with activity. The half-hour program is made up of three 7-minute stories per episode, with two short musical interstitials inbetween. "The Busy World of Richard Scarry" aired on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr., until May 2000 (when Nick's licensing agreement with the show's owners expired). This show is no longer airing on TV.moreless
