These clans have been battling each for centuries and they share a inner hate against each other before the cease-fire was made. Now the clans have no alternative but wage war against each other. But Gennosuke of the Kouga clan and Oboro of the Iga clan, despite the arranged marriage, are truly in love. Out of nowhere appears the Goddess Belldandy, and she offers him one wish to change his life. ONE wish. Thinking this was a practical joke, Keiichi casually wishes: "I want a Goddess like you to stay with me forever." Little does he know that his wish becomes true, and thus begins his new life living with a Goddess!! She-Ra: Princess of Power

    (ended 1987)
She-Ra: Princess of Power is an animated spin-off of the phenomenally popular 1980s series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. It follows the adventures of Princess Adora/She-Ra and the members of the Great Rebellion as they try to free planet Etheria from the evil Horde. The leader of the Horde forces that rule Etheria is Hordak, a sorceror who kidnapped the infant Adora during a failed attempt to conquer He-Man's homeworld years ago. Adora's twin brother Adam/He-Man and his nemesis Skeletor often make guest appearances. Like He-Man, this show was spawned from a line of popular Mattel toys and is still a classic among many fans.

    Inspector Gadget

    Inspector Gadget

    (ended 1986)
Inspector Gadget was a cartoon parody of the 1960's television spy parody, Get Smart. Don Adams played the leads in both shows. There are similarities between the two shows. Both agents only had lots of gadgets or devices that they never could use correctly. Both worked for a chief that they invariably infuriated. And of course, both Gadget and Smart were lovable idiots who always won in the end, usually by accident or by someone else's help. Created by DIC Entertainment, this show was voiced in Canada and Los Angeles, drawn in Korea, edited in Los Angeles and distributed by DIC International. First produced as a 1/2 hour pilot in 1983, it was picked up and produced until 1986 for TV. Years later, Inspector Gadget is seen in 55 countries in 24 languages. Spinoffs: Gadget Boy and Heather, Gadget Boy's Adventures in History, Inspector Gadget's Field Trip and Gadget and the Gadgetinis. A liveaction theatrical movie based on the cartoon was released in 1999, as well as a liveaction direct-to-video sequel in 2003.moreless

    Liberty's Kids

    Liberty's Kids

    PBS (ended 2004)
Liberty's Kids was a truly "revolutionary" children's animated series by DIC. For as long as it ran on PBS, Liberty's Kids entertained seven- to twelve-year-olds while introducing them to the exciting stories and people behind the birth of a nation. The program unfurled its historical vignettes through the eyes of two teenage apprentices, Sarah Phillips and James Hiller, who worked in Benjamin Franklin's print shop and discovered first-hand the great adventures of the American Revolution. Benjamin Franklin's wise words and strong principled actions gave guidance to our young heroes, whether he is with them in Philadelphia or writing from across the ocean in France. James Hiller was a 14-year-old apprentice journalist at Ben Franklin's Print Shop. He idolized Dr. Franklin and hoped to run his own newspaper someday. Moses was born in West Africa. After learning the valuable job of smithing, he was able to earn enough money to buy his freedom back. Moses traveled to Philadelphia where he found employment taking care of Benjamin Franklin's printing press. Henri was an eight-year-old street urchin, who had been semi-adopted by Moses and James, who rescued him from a ship. He paid for his room and board by helping out around the print shop and learning how to read and write. Sarah Phillips was a bright 15-year-old girl from England. She helped James and Henri on their wonderful adventures. For a while, she found James' idea of liberty very agitating while working as a journalist to get the Loyalist side of each of James' stories. Liberty's Kids was designed as a 40-part miniseries, run on PBS September 2, 2002 to August 13, 2004. After that, cut-down versions were scattered to commercial stations. The Theme Song is performed by: Aaron Carter and Kayla I see a land with liberty for all Next thing I know the truth will rise and fall That's just the way it goes A word now to the wise The world was made to change Each day is a surprize I'm looking at life with my own eyes I'm searching for a hero to idolize Feeling the pain as innocence dies I'm looking at life through my own eyes I'll take my heart into battle Give that freedom bell a raddle Get my independence signed Declare for it on the dotted line Let Philadelphia freedom ring and patriotic voices sing Red, White and Blue Never give up You represent America! I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day I listen to my heart and I obey How can I see it any other way? I'm looking at life through my own eyesmoreless

    Sonic the Hedgehog

    Sonic the Hedgehog

    ABC (ended 1994)
"Sonic the Hedgehog," also known as the SatAM (Saturday morning) series, was the second television program to star the famous video game icon. It followed the slapstick "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog," which was known mostly for its lighthearted approach. The SatAM, however, took on a much darker tone, telling the story of Sonic and his brave band of Freedom Fighters as they struggled to free their home world, the distant planet of Mobius from the clutches of the evil Dr. Robotnik. The first season was an unconventional mix of cartoon characters and a grim setting. Characters were developed and mature themes were explored. The second season, on the other hand, lightened the tone considerably, emphasizing the more comedic aspects of the show and toning down the series' darkness considerably. The show ultimately ended on a cliffhanger after only two seasons due to underachieving ratings. However, this was not the end of the SatAM. The series developed a cult following over the years resulting in countless fan fiction stories and discussion that kept show alive several years after it had been cancelled. Additionally, the Archie comic book adaptation of the "Sonic" character began to modify itself to more closely resemble the SatAM series and remained in publishing ten years after the show had been cancelled. Furthermore, the SatAM's influence was felt in additional Sonic adventures with various elements of the series being included in the "Sonic Christmas Blast!" special and the "Sonic Underground" series. The SatAM is generally agreed to be the most popular of the American-made "Sonic" cartoons. Characters: Sonic the Hedgehog - An egotistic blue blur of the title with an unsatiable appetite for adventure and chili dogs. Princess Sally Acorn - Daughter of King Acorn, rightful ruler of Mobius; leader of the Knothole Freedom Fighters and Sonic's best friend. Bunnie Rabbot - Cyborg rabbit who was in the process of being roboticized before being rescued by the Freedom Fighters. Antoine D'Coolette - Cowardly royal guard who desperately seeks the affections of Princess Sally. Rotor - The Freedom Fighters' mechanic. Miles "Tails" Prower - Sonic's other best friend...like a little brother; he looks up to Sonic and hopes to make his own contribution to the Freedom Fighters. Dulcy - Powerful but clumsy dragon; joined the Freedom Fighters. Uncle Chuck - Sonic's roboticized Uncle. Dr. Robotnik - Ruler of Mobius; achieved this by overthrowing King Acorn; cyborg villain. Snivley- Robotnik's nephew and lackey. Basic Terms: Great Forest - Vast forest where the Freedom Fighters hide; on the outskirts of Robotropolis. Freedom Fighter - A rebel against Robotnik's rule and not just any rebel, a soldier of the rightful King; different cells are activated when the Acorn King is in dire need; King Acorn kept a list of every Freedom Fighter group. Knothole Village - The village hidden deep within the Great Forest where the Freedom Fighters operate. Mobius - Faraway planet that Sonic and the other animals are from. Mobotropolis - Former capital of the Acorn Kingdom before being taken over by Robotnik and renamed Robotropolis. Power Rings - Rings that Sonic uses to give him some extra "juice" (speed) They are produced by a power stone every twelve hours. Power Stone - Stone that produces power rings. Roboticazion - Act of turning flesh into metal; robs individual of free will. Robotropolis - Formerly Mobotropolis, the city that Robotnik rules with an iron fist. Character Guide

    Manny Rivera/El Tigre

For the most part, Manny Rivera is a well-meaning kid with the energy and the spirit of a hero. But Manny is no goody-two-shoes. He's also got some serious supervillian potential. When he spins his mystical belt buckle, Manny transforms into the brave and powerful El Tigre, who struggles with whether to use his superpowers for good or evil.

    Frida Faurez

Frida is Manny's best friend. But she's not always the best influence on Manny. She always has his back when he's in trouble, but she is usually the one who gets him into it. Frida is up for just about anything, the superpower stuff doesn't phase her.

    Rodolfo Rivera/White Pantera

Manny's father Rodolfo is a good old-fashioned dad, complete with rules and orders that Manny doesn't always follow. He is also a semi-retired super-hero known as the White Pantera.

    Grandpapi Rivera/Puma Loco

Manny's Grandpapi is the nicest old man out there. But he is also evil to the core, and wants Manny to be the same way. He is a retired super-villian known as Puma Loco. To describe his relationship with his son (Manny's super-hero father) it would be: love/hate.moreless

My Life as a Teenage Robot

My Life as a Teenage Robot

    Nickelodeon (ended 2009)
While most kids think their own problems are the end of the world, there's one girl whose problems really are the end of the world. My Life as a Teenage Robot is the story of Jenny, a super-powered robot with a super-sensitive teenage heart. Her primary function is to protect the planet from certain disaster, but, like all teenagers, she has her own ideas about how she would like to live. Defending the Earth has become a mundane chore, and she would rather do more exciting things like go to high school and be allowed to drive the family car. My Life as a Teenage Robot, a spin-off from Nickelodeon's hit Oh Yeah! Cartoons (under the name My Neighbor Has A Teenage Robot), was created by Rob Renzetti and is executive produced by Renzetti and Fred Seibert. This show is the third of three spinoffs of Oh Yeah! Cartoons, the others being ChalkZone and Fairly OddParents. Characters: Global Robotic Response Unit XJ9, aka Jenny Wakeman - XJ9 is just like any other robot designed to defend the planet. She's powerful, confident, clever, brave...oh yeah, and she's gotta be home by 9! Jenny, as XJ9 likes to be called, is spunky, dramatic and prone to major mood swings (sound familiar?). She's also obsessed with pop stars, teen magazines and fitting in with the cool kids. Just like a regular teenager, right? Well, yeah...if regular teenagers were 6 feet tall and made of metal! XJ9's creator (a.k.a. mom) is constantly reminding her of her planetary responsibilities, but Jenny's tired of saving the world and just wants to hang out with her friends. What's a teenage robot to do? Bradley "Brad" Carbunkle - Brad is the boy next door. He's Jenny's closest neighbor and her best friend. Brad's not really interested in the stuff his friends at school are into, and wishes he were more like Jenny. He loves a good adventure and he's dying for a chance to explore the world outside high school. To Jenny, Brad's the reference point to all things "teenaged." He's the gatekeeper of "cool." Only Brad gets bored talking about all that lame teenager stuff and jumps at every chance to get in on Jenny's universe-saving superhero action. Guess the grass really IS greener on the other side of the fence... Tucker "Tuck" Carbunkle - Unlike his older brother Brad, Tuck is suspicious of the unknown and likes to be surrounded by familiar things and faces. He has a whole assortment of hidden fears and anxieties (let's just say he's not a fan of ferris wheels!) At first, Tuck was terrified of Jenny too, but after an unplanned tag-along on a meteor-blasting mission he's become her biggest fan. Well, next to Brad. Despite his fears, Tuck insists on going along on Jenny and Brad's adventures. Though being the typical trouble-making little brother he is, he usually ends up doing more damage than good. Mrs. Norene "Nora" Wakeman - Mrs. Wakeman had been struggling for years to rid the world of evil through the use of her inventions. And then, in a moment of brilliance, she created: XJ9 (a.k.a. Jenny). More mad scientist than understanding mom, Mrs. Wakeman can teach Jenny to battle almost anything that comes her way, but she's not so hot at talking about teenage stuff like clothes and boys. Mrs. Wakeman just doesn't get why Jenny would rather go to the fair than defend the Earth. But isn't having a mom who doesn't understand you, like, Rule #1 for being a teenager? Brittany and Tiffany Crust - Brit and Tiff sit securely on the top of the social hierarchy at school. Brit is the master of the putdown, and Tiff can intimidate anyone in school. All the world domination-plotting super-villians on the planet don't even come close to wielding the power these two cliqueish cousins hold in their hands, and no one is more aware of that than Jenny. But Jenny's arrival on the scene throws this tyranical twosome for a loop. Her physical power makes Tiff's intimidation impossible, and the curiosity she generates threatens Brit's center-of-attention status. Suddenly, Jenny is Brit and Tiff's public enemy number one! Unfortunately, the one thing Jenny's superpowers can't stop is her own desire to be popular! Sheldon Lee - Even though he knows he's pretty low down on the totem-poll of popularity, Sheldon is satisfied as a budding engineer and a comic book fan. And if that makes him a geek, so be it! He's quite content to spend his time perfecting mechanical projects and pouring over comics. Until he meets Jenny, that is. Jenny's the perfect combination of superhero and suped-up machine, and Sheldon falls for her-fast! He's constantly giving her gizmos and gadgets as gifts, but they never seem to do the trick. Alas, unfortunately for Sheldon, Jenny's fine with being his friend, but the thought of dating him hurts her brainwaves.moreless

    Tiny Toon Adventures

    Tiny Toon Adventures

    FOX (ended 1993)
Tiny Toon Adventures is basically a kid-version of the classic Warner Bros. cartoon stars and their cartoons. This show is hosted by Buster and Babs Bunny (No relation!) and their friends Plucky Duck, an egotistical power crazy duck much like Daffy Duck, and Hamton Pig, a shy, kind-hearted pig with low self-esteem but just like Porky Pig, but is a Neat Freak. The toons are constantly terrorized by Dizzy Devil, a purple version of Taz; Elmyra Duff, a dangerously childish, animal loving freak of nature which makes any animal who comes near her run; and lastly, we have rich kid Montana Max, who goes by the philosophy that rich people never pay and hates everyone and everything. The toons get their vast cartoon smarts from the Acme Looniversity school, with the famous Warner Bros. cartoon stars as teachers. The school also had a rival as well, Perfecto Prep., a school with a reputation of cheating characters. Tiny Toon Adventures was a treasure trove of pop-culture cliches and paid homage to many of the classic Warner Bros. cartoons of yore. Currently not on TV in the U.S.A.moreless
