Are today's celebrities fleet of foot or do they have two left feet? That's the question host Daryl Somers and co-host Sonia Kruger will be finding the answer to when they host the second series of the hit variety show Dancing with the Stars. Our celebrities are all household names, famous for their roles as singers, actors, presenters, broadcasters and sporting greats. They may be high achievers in their chosen field but do they have the toe tapping rhythm that separates the groovers from the losers? These 10 daring celebrities will pair up with Australia's slickest professional dancers in the second series of Seven's live ballroom dancing competition to find out, as each week one couple is voted off by the public and a panel of judges. Watch the stars in rehearsals as they learn how to waltz, tango, rumba and jive. Admire the skill, style - and patience - of the professional dancers as they train our novices. You'll be surprised who's light on their feet, and who has two left feet. Prepare for tears, blisters and plenty of sequins!moreless

Welcome to Popstars (Australia). Until Australian Idol took over, Popstars was one of Australian tv's most popular shows. The Australian Popstars is the original version. While this show was in it's second season New Zealand, the USA and the UK created their own versions. Popstars is basically like Idol and X Factor except you can be in a singing group and even a band. The winner takes home a recording contract and in it's fourth and final season (2004) the winner/s also took home $100 000. In 2003 Popstars took a brake to try and improve it and make it better than Australian Idol. Unfortunately they were unsuccessful.moreless

Cop Shop could perhaps best be described as applying the format of The Box to Division 4. The result was a twice-a-week one-hour serial in which the day-to-day work of the cops shared equal priority with (and very often took a back seat to) their tortuous private lives. Although production values were at times sorely lacking (as with most soaps), Cop Shop gained much from some excellent character roles, particularly J.J Johnson (Peter Adams)and Constable Roy Baker (Gil Tucker). Cast-wise, it benefitted from the presence of former Crawford cops including George Mallaby, Terence Donovan, and Alwyn Kurts, ably assisted by relative newcomers such as John Orcsik, Paula Duncan, Nicholas Eadie, Alan Fletcher, and John McTernan. Guest roles were populated by some of the best actors in the country, as a browse through the episode guide (very much a "work in progress") will show.moreless

    Seven Network (ended 1973)
Ryan was a brave attempt at an all-Australian private eye series to rival those then in vogue in the U.S. Michael Ryan was an ex-cop turned private detective, who took the cases the police either didn't want, or couldn't touch. Suave, handsome, and tough as teak, Ryan was equally at home investigating fraud, missing persons, or murder, ably assisted by "girl friday" Julie KIng, and and enthusiastic offside Tony Angelini. Badly scheduled by the Seven Network, the series gained luke-warm ratings, and the first run was discontinued after 23 episodes had gone to air, with the remaining episodes being stockpiled (although the series continued to run in various regional areas throughout the country). The series returned to air in late 1974, with seven of the stockpiled first-run episodes being screened, with episodes 31 - 38 not screening until a repeat run in early 1976. The final episode eventually went to air in early 1977.moreless
