The Colour of Magic is a two-part comedic fantasy made-for-TV film directed by Vadim Jean based on Terry Pratchett's two Discworld novels, The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic, that centers on expelled wizard Rincewind (David Jason), who despite knowing one of the eight most powerful spells in the powerful spell book, Octavo, in Discworld, can't learn basic magic. Apparently, all the other spells are too afraid to stay in his mind. Since he's lost all hopes at learning anything else, Rincewind takes on a job as a local guide to Discworld's first ever tourist, Twoflower (Sean Astin), who just so happens to be an insurance salesman. As the two seemingly move from one near-death disaster after another, barely surviving because the spell stops him from actually dying, the power-mad wizard Ymper Trymon (Tim Curry) has been murdering all of the Unseen University's staff in a bid to control all the spells in Octavo. Unfortunately for him, all of the spells have to be said aloud and Octavo, one of the only ones in the know on one of the spells, is annoyingly jaunting about with Twoflower in tow. The real question is: what happens once the spells are said aloud? Is it doom and destruction for Discworld?moreless

Hogfather is a two-part fantastical comedic mini-series produced by The Mob based on Terry Pratchett's book of the same name that centers on the unusual disappearance of the Hogfather (Dominic Borrelli) and the investigation, led by Death's granddaughter Susan (Michelle Dockery), to find out what exactly is going on. When the Auditors, a group of godlike beings with a tendency to view things solely in the realm of stark reality, question the purpose of Father Christmas-esque Hogfather and other imaginative icons, they resort to meeting with an assassin, Mr. Teatime (Marc Warren), in order to take care of the issue. However, Hogfather has already disappeared, leaving a rather literal Death (Ian Richardson) taking over his job. Susan though is on the task of figuring out what happened, thankfully with the occasional help of her grandfather's manservant Albert (David Jason) and the "Oh God" of Hangovers, Bilious (Rhodri Meilir), as she ultimately ends up in the land of the Tooth Fairy. It seems that Teatime and the Auditors are out to play dirty to rid the Discworld of all things nonsensical.moreless
