Quentin Coldwater is a high school senior, but he’s still secretly obsessed with a series of fantasy novels he read when he was little, about the adventures of five children in a magical land called Fillory. Compared to that, everything in his real life just seems gray and colorless. That changes when Quentin finds himself admitted to a very secret, very exclusive college of magic in upstate New York, where he receives a thorough and rigorous education in the practice of modern sorcery. But, magic doesn’t bring Quentin the happiness and adventure and meaning he thought it would—until he and his friends make a stunning discovery: Fillory is real. The Magicians is based on book one of author Lev Grossman's bestselling trilogy: The Magicians, The Magician King, The Magician's Land. Although the series official premieres January 25, 2016, the entire first episode was shown commercial free on Wednesday, December 16 at 10 p.m. Eastern Time/9 p.m Central Time.moreless

This spinoff of the Tremor movies chronicles the town of Perfection, Nevada, which has a little problem with great big worms. The Graboids, and their offspring the Shriekers and Ass-Blasters, have overrun the valley but are on the government's protected species list. The locals are (barely) allowed to live there rather then leave their homes, as long as they don't harm the creatures, particularly the giant Graboid known as "El Blanco." Complicating matters, a secret government lab accidentally unleashed a gene-blending substance called "Mixmaster" into the area, occasionally causing various animal-types to recombine into new monsters. The natives of Perfection include survivalist Burt Gummer, 60's hippy-type Nancy Sterngood, and grocery store owner Jodi Chang who all try to make a living. New to Perfection is tour guide Tyler Reed and Rosalita Sanchez, a mysterious woman with a past. Government representative W.D. Twitchell keeps an eye on the whole situation. The series lasted one season on the SciFi Channel before being ignominously cancelled. A fourth movie was released the following January.moreless

Welcome to Paradox is a provocative anthology series. All episodes are based on short stories by renowned science fiction writers and adapted for television screening. To create a common background for the separate stories, they are set in the futuristic city of Betaville (a nod to Jean-Luc Goddard's classic science fiction movie Alphaville). Each episode is introduced by a host character called Paradox.

Betaville is an utopian city where crime, violence, disease and other problems of society no longer exist. But all this has a dark side: virtual reality is taking over real life, people are struggling to keep control over their near-perfect machines and their own humanity.moreless

The Lost City is a fantasy film serial directed by Harry Revier that centers on Bruce Gordon (Kane Richmond), an electrical engineer who discovers that a series of devastating earthquakes are all man-made. When he finds the source of the recent disasters in central Africa, Bruce sets out with his friend Jerry (Eddie Fetherston) to find out who is causing all of the disasters. When they find a hidden mountain in the jungle called Magnetic Mountain, Bruce and Jerry discover a highly advanced world ruled by a science madman named Zolok (William 'Stage' Boyd). As Zolok prepares to take over the world after he destroys parts of it with his earthquakes, he forces another scientist Dr. Manyus (Josef Swickard) into creating mindless drones for his private army. It seems that Bruce has more than just stopping the quakes on his itinerary as he and Jerry narrowly escape Zolok's minions and a slave trading Queen (Margot D'Use) in this wild Lost City.moreless
