Pops, the uncle and head of the household, has his life and home turned upside down when an unexpected event forces his nephew, CJ, and CJ's kids to move into the house, putting three generations under one roof. This chaotic living situation takes its toll on cranky Pops, who is reluctant to have his routine disturbed. In addition to CJ's family, Pops and Ella's son, Calvin, a wise-cracking college kid with no money, hangs out at home which makes it impossible for Pops to have any peace and quiet. It soon becomes evident just how wide the generation gap is, as the family tries to find a way to coexist through all of life's hilarious ups and downs. Putting the family back in family comedy, Tyler Perry's House of Payne tackles real life issues with very funny humor.moreless

Captain Planet was created by billionaire Ted Turner in the early 90's to spread awareness of the environmental damage done to earth every year, at the same time providing the action and thrills that a Saturday morning cartoon needs to be a hit.

This special effort worked. BIG TIME. The show ran for six long successful years, with three seasons divided between DIC animation, and Hanna-Barbera, and today is still repeated all over the globe it was created to help save.

Our world is in peril, Gaia, the spirit of the earth, can no longer stand the terrible destruction plaguing our planet, she sends five magic rings to five special young people:

Kwame: From Africa, with the power of Earth..

From North America, Wheeler, with the power of Fire

From the Soviet Union, Linka, with the Power of the Wind

From Asia, Gi, with the power of the Water

And from South America, Ma-Ti, with the power of Heart

When the five powers combine, they summon earth's greatest champion, CAPTAIN PLANET!

    GO PLANET!!!!

    THE POWER IS YOURS!

    Earth!

    Fire!

    Water!

    Heart!

    2 Stupid Dogs

    2 Stupid Dogs

    Follow
    TBS (ended 1995)
Two Stupid Dogs follows the lives of two dogs, the overly excited Little Dog(the dachshund) and easy-paced Big Dog(Brad Garrett from "Til Death" and "Everybody Loves Raymond")-the sheepdog. These crazy canines don't know how to fit in the world, and they definitely don't have any know-how. They often find themselves in commonplace situations (going to the drive-in, walking through the mall, working on the farm), some not so common situations (stuck on a space shuttle, a contestant on a game show, getting mistaken for the prime minister), and even in some familiar situations (Little Red Riding Hood, Noah's Ark, and Hansel and Gretel). But no matter the situation, their stupidity usually leads them to calamitous results. The show also featured various returning characters. Hollywood was a big burly man who is always saying "Well isn't that cute, but it's wrong!". Red as the little girl from the Red Riding Hood story on her way to granny's house. Cubby is the nerdy guy who is very passionate about what ever occupation he works at. And finally Kenny, the neurotic school child who's afraid of everything and is always nervous. Each episode included two 10 minute episodes of 2 Stupid Dogs and one episode of Secret Squirrel shown between the two. 2 Stupid Dogs first aired in September of 1993 and last aired in January of 1995. 2 STUPID DOGS and all related characters and elements are trademarks of Hanna-Barbera. 2 STUPID DOGS is now airing Monday-Friday at 7:30am and a repeat airing at 5:50pm on BOOMERANG (Channel 297 - DirecTV). There are also airings on Saturday and Sunday at 5:30pm that are different from the episodes aired during the week. Start times on Saturdays sometimes vary by 5 to 10 minutes.moreless
