A young Bruce Wayne is in his third year of trying to establish himself as Batman, protector of Gotham City. He is in his mid-twenties, just finding his way as protector, defender and Caped Crusader, while balancing his public persona as billionaire bachelor Bruce Wayne. Living in Gotham, a metropolis where shadows run long and deep, beneath elevated train tracks, this younger Batman will confront updated takes of familiar foes - meeting each member of his classic Rogue's Gallery for the first time. From the likes of Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Riddler and Man-Bat, among others, the war on crime jumps to the next level with a new arsenal at the Dark Knight's disposal, all operated and linked by an advanced remote-controlled invention he dubs the "Bat-Wave." This is the first animated Batman series since Batman: The Animated Series not to feature Kevin Conroy as the voice of the title character. The Edge from multi-Grammy Award-winning sensation U2 performs the theme song. The series features a continuity unrelated to Batman: The Animated Series. Kids' WB! Animation decided to put together an all-new Batman series to tie in with the impending release of "Batman Begins," they made the daring but ultimately wise choice of completely revamping the world of Bruce Wayne, at least in terms of style and presentation. "The Batman," which debuted in September 2004 on the Kids WB!, played out as something of a "Young Batman Adventures," with the episodes focusing on the Dark Knight's earliest years as a superhero. The deep, raspy voice of Kevin Conroy (who took the lead role in the 1990s series, and who still voices Batman on Cartoon Network's "Justice League") was replaced with Rino Romano, a thirtysomething voiceover veteran who sounds like he's in his early twenties. Commissioner Gordon is nowhere to be seen; instead, we get two young detectives who are always on Batman's trail - and in a nifty twist, one of them is Bruce Wayne's best friend. Robin is also absent, Bruce has yet to get a handle on how to be Batman and run Wayne Industries, and the Rogues Gallery of villains are only beginning to emerge.moreless

Coyote, the Road Runner, Tasmanian Devil, Lola Bunny - hold a very special place in history. But that was then. This is now. In the year 2772, this super-charged, high-flying action team of a new generation shares the same DNA and sharp-edged wit as their Looney Tunes forefathers ... and that's where the similarities end. Loonatics are one of a kind - and today's heroes from tomorrow! No matter how high the odds are stacked against them, they'll whirl in to save the world without a moment's hesitation. Want to keep the world safe ... call in Loonatics! Loonatics is about the classic Looney Tunes we all love in the future. The year that the show is set in is 2772. It will revolve around action-packed adventures that will leaving you clingy to the couch. Bugs will once again be the leader of this Looney Tunes spin-off. "Loonatics is part of a wider effort by Warner Bros. to boost classic franchises: A new Batman movie and a remake of "Superman" also are in the works. The potential revenue is massive: If "Loonatics" is a hit on Saturday morning, for example, it is likely to ripple through the company's merchandising, home-video and movie divisions. "That's the ultimate goal of all kids programming," says Mr. Janollari. "If we score, it's a gold mine." Ace: Team leader with laser and martial arts expertise Lexi: Disguise expert with super hearing Duck: Weapons expert with built-in sonar Slam: Team muscle with jaws of steel Tech: Vehicles and surveillance; regeneration abilities Rev: Super speed Other Looney Tunes Spin-Off's: Baby Looney Tunes The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries Tiny Toon Adventures Taz-Mania The Bugs 'n' Daffy Show The Daffy Duck Show (1978) The Daffy Duck Show (1996) The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour The Road Runner Show The Bugs Bunny Show The Porky Pig Show Duck Dodgers There were many Looney Tunes shows done by The WB and ABC, but none were successful. Few lasted more than 65 episodes. Perhaps Loonatics will revive the classic Looney Tunes again and bring them into viewers homes. Many are appalled by the thought of another Looney Tunes "rip-off" such as the doomed Baby Looney Tunes. Fans of the classic Looney Tunes have expressed this in many ways.
