This show about the tattoo shop "Miami Ink" takes viewers inside the world of tattooing, showcasing both the artists and their clients. It gives an in-depth look at the emotional stories behind the tattoos, and the meanings people attach to them. Folk from all walks of life come for tattoos, from punk rockers, to South Beach socialites, to celebrities. The series follows four master artists: Ami James, Chris Garver, Darren Brass, and Chris Nuñez, and their apprentice Yojiro Harada. What Not To Wear

    What Not To Wear

    TLC
TLC's What Not To Wear is a spin off of What Not To Wear airing on BBC America. The reality show premise is simple: friends and family members nominate a candidate that they consider poorly dressed and ask the show to make over the "fashion victim." Fashion Police Stacy London and her partner, Clinton Kelly (or Wayne Scott Lukas in the first season) ambush the candidate and make them an offer-- they are given a $5000.00 budget for a new wardrobe, which they must purchase in New York City boutiques over the course of two days, but only on the condition that they allow Stacy & Clinton/ Wayne to critique, and in most cases throw out, their existing wardrobe. For grooming tips, hairdresser Nick Arrojio and makeup artist Carmindy help refine the candidate's look.moreless

    Jon and Kate Plus 8

    Jon and Kate Plus 8

    TLC (ended 2009)
Jon and Kate Plus 8 revamped to Kate Plus 8 after the couple's highly publicized divorce left Jon completely uninvolved in the production of the show. From then on, the focus shifted to Kate Gosselin as a single mother. This was, of course, five years after the Gosselins burst onto the scene as one of the few American couples to have eight children over the span of two pregnancies. As the world now knows, the show was created in the first place because Jon and Kate Gosselin were a typical married couple that only planned on having about three kids at the most, but fate had a much bigger plan for them. After giving birth to twin girls named Madelyn and Cara in 2000, a set of sextuplets arrived in 2004 - Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. This was originally a 2 hour special on Discovery Health Channel, but TLC offered Jon and Kate a deal for a weekly reality series, and now, even without Jon's regular participation, the show will continue to document the lives of Kate and their eight children as they grow and change in front of our eyes.moreless
