    The Incredible Hulk (1996)

    The Incredible Hulk (1996)

    UPN (ended 1999)
A renowned scientist, Bruce Banner, develops radical breakthroughs, mainly for use in military - weaponry, through the use of gamma radiation [rays]. Although when the powerful gamma bomb he creates is seconds away from being tested, all goes wrong. When a young teenager, Rick Jones, suddenly drives across the secure testing range on a mere dare! The imminent explosion is bound to wipe out everything in its radius. Bruce Banner along with General Ross sit in the specially shielded bomb shelter and await the results. It's only then when Dr. Banner sees the reckless teenager drive across the field [and hits a rocky bump hurling him out of the jeep and onto the ground] and is forced to sacrifice everything when he attempts to save him. Leaving the shelter, but miraculously getting to the boy in time and shoving him into a ditch to save his life! Yet, there is no time for Bruce to find cover and he is bombarded by gamma rays!

What ordinarily would've killed any normal man [for that matter, incinerated/vaporized his body], Dr. Banner instead undergoes a hideous mutation of unimaginable proportions. Now, mentally at that of a caveman, Bruce can no longer function as a scientist but instead a primitive beast who can neither control his rage or unnaturally given super-strength. For this gruesome, immaculate green mass he appears to be, he is called the Hulk.

Dr. Betty Ross [more commonly referred to as Betty - in addition to being Bruce's girlfriend is also daughter of the Hulk's mortal enemy, her father, General Ross - once formerly Bruce's boss], is the only one who can comfort or even reason with the beast. She, many a time, appears in trouble, and the Hulk is there to save the day. She works non-stop [day and night] accompanied by Rick Jones, the guilt-ridden boy, as well as Bruce Banner himself [after he calms down and reverts back into his former self from time to time] on a cure from this cursed life as a monster.

Whilst the first season was one which had a clear direction and a forumlated story arc, the following season saw the series change it's title to "The Incredible Hulk and She-Hulk", and the episodes became more focused on humour and cliched world domination plots.moreless

    Dilbert

    Dilbert

    UPN (ended 2000)
Dilbert is a cubicle dwelling employee for a large soulless corporation. Each episode the show goes on many adventures that will leave you waiting for more. One simple phrase to describe Dilbert would be laugh out loud. The comical adventures that each story have are very well written by expert writers and voiced by an astonishing cast. The series is mainly about the main character Dilbertand his daily life at work. Although it is not always your typical days events that happens at the office. One of the many features this office has are little people living in the basement who apparently steal the company's markers and uses them to get high. Story lines expand from the world coming to an end for Y2K to the Dogbert trying to enslave the world! Dilbert truly is a show that you only see once in every 30 channels! Characters: Dilbert: Dilbert is your average "tech buff." He has a dog named Dogbert who frequently out-wits him. When push comes to shove you will most likely see Dilbert on the ground. He is an engineer, but often questions if he was meant to have that career. Often he tries to get his own office away from the fellow employees, but every scheme fails for one reason or another. Dilbert is the average struggling guy trying to get by at work one day at a time. Dogbert: Dogbert is not your average dog. In fact he is nothing like a dog at all. On the outside he may look like "man's best friend", but on the inside he wants to rule man. In many episodes Dogbert tries to control the world, but in each episode his scheme fails for one reason or another. Although Dogbert may seem cute and fuzzy he is far from it. The relationship is basically the opposite between Dilbert and Dogbert. Though these two often disagree on many matters they always have each other's back….or at least most of the time. Pointy-Haired Boss: He's every employee's worst nightmare. He has the laziness of Homer Simpson and the wacky comments of Peter Griffin. When those two are mixed watch out! Although he is often away from work he is the boss and as the boss he has the most power at the office. Now stupidity and leadership don't always work well together so just when you thought you figured him out he will surprise you with some wacky antic! Alice: She is one of Dilbert's co-workers. Being the only female employee in the department, she puts up with a lot. Occasionally the guys at work may step out of their place, but she will always take care of that with some violence. Her cubical is located to the left of Dilbert's, but that doesn't stop her from making frequent visits. Certainly Alice is a force not to reckon with. Wally: He is every employee's worst nightmare! He is very lazy and only goes to work just to be there thus receiving his pay check. He tries to use schemes to receive quick cash, but usually they don't work. He later learned in the series that trying to save up sick days for early retirement doesn't always work. The lesson learned in that was that over a period of time those days expire. Over all Wally is pretty much a small guy with a big mouth that frequently gets him in trouble. Broadcast history: Mon: 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM Tue: 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM Like many great shows Dilbert was short lived, but its memory lives on in eternity. Now, many are able to watch Dilbert on DVD and relive every wacky memory that the show has to offer. Not only has Dilbert become one of the most famous comic strips like Garfield, Peanuts, Blondie, etc. etc. but has become somewhat of a "hope symbol" to the daily working person. So pop the DVD in and let your bones ache from laughter! Dilbert is based off of the hit comic strip series of the same name created by Scott Adams.moreless

    Jumanji

    Jumanji

    UPN (ended 1999)
Based on the hit 1995 Robin Williams film, Jumanji told the story of a board game gone horribly, horribly wrong. The cartoon series twisted the film's premise around, but most of the characters remained the same. As in the film, young Peter and Judy Shepherd came to live with their Aunt Nora. Exploring the house, they found in the attic a dusty old board game called Jumanji. Kids will be kids, and soon enough Peter and Judy had the game out and ready for play, little knowing that the game had a life of its own. When they rolled the dice, a rhymed message appeared on the board, and Peter and Judy were sucked inside a strange jungle world. Lost and alone in this frightening new land, Peter and Judy ran across long-haired jungle man Alan Parrish (the Robin Williams character in the film), who had been sucked in by Jumanji many years earlier. The three joined forces, looking for a way out. Opposing them were English hunter Van Pelt, his lackey Oafal, mad inventor Professor J.S. Ibsen, trading post owner J.H. "Trader" Slick, and a crowd of mischief-making monkeys. Jumanji ran on UPN's Sunday morning schedule, traditionally a much slower day for cartoons than Saturday. The show did well enough, lasting two seasons before being replaced by the popular Big Bad Beetleborgs.moreless

    The Parkers

    The Parkers

    UPN (ended 2004)
Mo'Nique and Countess Vaugh star as the mother-daughter family of Nikki and Kim Parker, in this spin-off of the hit UPN sitcom, Moesha. This time around, Kim and Nikki enroll into Santa Monica Junior College in Santa Monica, California. While Kim was initially bothered by the thought of her mother attending college with her, she eventually came to accept it, and they both grew closer because of the experience. Then, there was Nikki; she got pregnant with Kim in high school, which forced her to dropout during her senior year to raise her daughter (she went back to receive her high school diploma, as seen in an episode of Moesha), and eventually never went to college---until now. Nikki is known most-notably for her never-ending pursuits after SMC professor, Stanley Oglevee (Dorien Wilson). Throughout the entire series, Professor Oglevee denied Nikki's request for love; but as we know, that never stopped Nikki. The show became a huge hit with UPN's viewers, as did its predecessor. In 2004, after five years and 110 episodes, The Parkers ended its series run. Throughout its five seasons, the series, along with its cast members, have been nominated for 11 NAACP Image Awards; it has won five, with Mo'Nique winning four as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2001, 2002, 2004, and 2005 for her role as Nikki Parker. Dorien Wilson won an Image award in 2004 as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. In 2002, Yvette Wilson was nominated as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.moreless

    7 Days

    7 Days

    UPN (ended 2001)
Ever wish you could live your last week all over again? Well, my name's Frank B. Parker, and I do it all the time. I work for a secret government project experimenting in time travel. When things really get screwed up, I'm the guinea pig they send back to take care of it. The catch is, I can only go back 7 days. 7 Days chronicles the adventures of Frank Parker, a "chrononaut" assigned to the U.S. government's "Operation Back Step." The operation revolves around the Sphere, created by Dr.'s Mentnor, Vukavitch, and Ballard from alien technology salvaged from Roswell. The alien power source allows a jump of only seven days, so when a crisis occurs the government assigns NSA agent Frank Parker to jump back in time up to 7 days to prevent it, creating a new timeline where only Frank remembers the old one. Frank is uniquely qualified for the job - he has a high tolerance for pain (required during piloting), a photographic memory, and has had some psychiatric problems that give him a very...flexible mindset when dealing with altered timelines. Assisting him on his missions are project head Bradley Talmadge, head of security Nathan Ramsey, and military advisor and back-up chrononaut Craig Donovan. In the third season Ballard retires and his replacement "Hooter" Owsley takes his place as scientific expert and recurring guest star.moreless

The show aired on UPN for one season (44 episodes) and it aired double pack episodes every week. The original Twilight Zone series aired from 1959 with host Rod Serling, and continued in 1985 with Charles Aidman and Robin Ward in The Twilight Zone (1985). Reyes Despite ratings higher than renewed series Veronica Mars, Kevin Hill was cancelled after only one season. Dear Fans Of "Kevin Hill", "Kevin Hill" was canceled, because of a disagreement, between TouchStone Porductions and UPN. UPN wanted to air the first 13 episodes of "Kevin Hill", then see how the ratings were doing, and air the last 9 if the ratings were high enough. Unfortunately, TouchStone Productions wanted it to air for the entire season, no matter how the ratings were doing, and UPN said no, so TouchStone Productions said okay fine, No Deal. So it will not be returning because of a disagreement between TouchStone and UPN. Thank You Sincerely, Ryan Reyes-cousin of Jorge A. Reyes, the creator of "Kevin Hill".moreless

    Eve

    Eve

    UPN (ended 2006)
Grammy Award-winning hip-hop sensation Eve starred in "Eve" as Shelly, a beautiful and intelligent woman of the new generation trying to navigate the exhilarating world of 21st century love, romance and career. Strong and confident, Shelly brought a fresh attitude to the male/female equation and coolly expected to receive just as much as she gives.

Her two best friends, Rita (Ali Landry), a gorgeous, single former model, and Janie (Natalie Desselle-Reid), an attractive woman very happy to be married and out of the dating scene, offered conflicting advice as Shelly tries to find her way on the rocky road to love.

Representing the male side of the relationship equation were J.T. (Jason George), a handsome, regular kind of guy who really enjoyed being single; his best pal, Nick (Brian Hooks), who was looking for that one perfect woman who can meet his very exacting standards; and Donovan Brink (Sean Maguire), the handsome and fashionable manager of Z Lounge, one of Miami's hottest clubs, is friends with both Shelly and J.T. and inevitably gets stuck in the middle when problems arise.

Shelly, Rita, and Janie were the co-owners of a fashion boutique called DivaStyle; J.T. was an athletic doctor; Nick was an IRS auditor; and Donovan was the manager of the Z Lounge, the hottest club spot in Miami.

The comedy examined a real and relatable male/female relationship from each side in an innovative, witty and amorous look at the battles of the sexes.

In 2005, Eve received an NAACP Image Award nomination as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Shelly.moreless
