    UPN (ended 2005)
This UPN comedy series is based on the best-selling book series, "The Bad Girl's Guide" by author Cameron Tuttle; she describes a "bad girl" as a woman who is sassy, provocative, questions authority, and knows what she wants in life and how to get it with style, confidence, and humor. These are the exact words and attitude that JJ, Holly and Sarah, three sexy, self-assured, singles living in Chicago, embody as modern bad girls. Although these young women are at different stages in their lives, they pursue their dreams according to their own rules and make no excuses for them. The series stars Jenny McCarthy (Scary Movie 3) as JJ, Marcelle Larice as Holly, Christina Moore (Hyperion Bay) as Sarah, Stephanie Childers as Irene and Johnathan McClain as Patric.

The Bad Girl's Guide is produced by Palm Tree Productions and Flame Television in association with Paramount Network Television. Robin Schiff (Romy and Michele's High School Reunion) is executive producer and showrunner. Tony Krantz (24, Felicity) is executive producer. Cameron Tuttle is co-executive producer and author of the best-selling series "The Bad Girl's Guide" (Chronicle Books).

Life-long best friends Todd, Alex and Wiseman share a New York apartment together, trying to figure out what to do with their post-college lives...then they meet their new neighbor Casey. They find themselves in New York City trying to negotiate the daunting realities of post-collegiate life – semi-mature relationships, steady employment and coming up with the rent, for example. Despite their seemingly similar situations, the members of this foursome take dramatically different approaches to life: Alex (Will Friedle, "Boy Meets World", "Go Fish"), an aspiring music critic who works as a researcher for a New York-based magazine, is responsible, dependable and sweet, though he yearns for the hip, edgy existence that always seems to elude nice guys. Todd (Sean Murray) has no such problem: he's the unmotivated guy who tries the least and gets the most. He has no plans—career or otherwise—and seems totally content, much to the bafflement (and envy) of his friends. Wiseman (Joshua Ackerman) is a dental technician who has never had to make a decision because his mother has made them all for him—including his selection of careers. Now, independent at last, he finds himself making some rather unusual personal choices. Casey (Natalia Cigliuti, "Pacific Palisades", "Odd Man Out") is a smart and mature NYU business school student, who as a recent transplant, is finding life in New York a little tougher than she had expected. Together they form an oddball kind of family, managing to negotiate the awkwardness of romantic breaks-ups, the frustrations of long-distance dating, the daunting search for the perfect New York apartment (or even a habitable one) and generally find a way to make a living while still having a life.moreless

As co-owners of a contracting and roofing company, the Mullet brothers are blue-collar, wrestling-loving, light-hearted optimistic guys who don the hairstyle that bears their surname ("business in the front, party in the back"). The twenty-something brothers, who sport identical mullet haircuts, are actually a study in contrast. Dwayne Mullet (Michael Weaver) has an awesome set of muscles and a loud, wild, "in-your-face" demeanor, while Denny Mullet (David Hornsby) is a skinny, quieter, more thoughtful, easy-going guy. Dwayne figures with Denny's brain and Dwayne's body they've got the world in front of them, and they intend to live out their version of the American dream. Their mother, Mandi Mullet-Heidecker (Loni Anderson), a warm maternal type who also happens to be extremely sexy, couldn't be more proud of her offspring no matter what they do. Though she is sharper than her boys, she is obviously one of the family - in both attitude and wardrobe. She recently moved out of the house when she married her new husband, Roger Heidecker (John O'Hurley, "Over the Top") , the pompous host of the game show "Brainstorm," who, though he could not be more unrelated, is now stepfather to the Mullet brothers. When not working or lounging around their house, the brothers' regular hangout is the convenience store where they both vie for the attention of the clerk, a sweet and sunny girl-next-door type. The siblings live life to the fullest while dreaming of bigger and better futures, though their fantasies are out of step with their reality. (UPN Press Release) The show was created by former executive producers of The Simpsons, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein, as well as being written by many former writers of Futurama. Only eight of the ten episodes, know to of been filmed aired and at least one more was written or filmed. The theme song to "The Mullets" is performed by Face to Face. For years, the Barnes' family-run barbershop has been a place where guys can get a trim while shooting the breeze about anything. So when the barbershop is sold to a large hair salon chain, prodigal son Kevin Barnes (Marques Houston) finds himself co-managing the shop and butting heads with the new owner's spoiled daughter, Tiffany (Shannon Elizabeth). With differing ideas about how to turn their shop into a success, these two new partners find themselves in a battle of the sexes. Kevin is adamant about keeping it a place where men can hang out, watch sports and have a beer…all while getting a haircut. Tiffany wants to create an urban oasis for women and men; where they can offer massages, highlights and lattes made to order. The direction of the new business also has the current employees taking sides. Tiffany's improvements have all of the female employees excited, particularly Candy (Shondrella Avery), the sassy manicurist, who has no qualms about sprucing up her surroundings. But Kevin has heavy support from the male staff, especially Walt (Rashaan Nall), the gambling barber, who knows he can try to win some extra cash if sports are playing all day in the shop. Believing that they each have something to prove to themselves and their families, Kevin and Tiffany agree to incorporate both under one roof. But running a business is not as easy as it appears, as the two will have to ride the many speed bumps along the way. But these two people from completely different worlds, with very different approaches to life, will work to find some common ground and try to turn this local barbershop in a burgeoning neighborhood into the hottest and hippest spa on the Eastern seaboard.moreless

Rock Me Baby is a fun, irreverent look at relationships and parenthood as seen through the eyes of Jimmy Cox (Dan Cortese, "Veronica's Closet"), a hip, flagrant shock jock. Jimmy lives for the adrenaline rush he gets from his outrageous behavior, but discovers his life is turned upside down when he and his mostly understanding wife welcome a new baby. Jimmy, the proudly provocative morning radio show DJ, had been on a roll, pushing the outside of the envelope of irreverence. Barely slowed down by his marriage to the cute and funny Beth (Bianca Kajlich, "Halloween: Resurrection"), he is thrown abruptly into reverse when his bouncing baby boy Otis arrives. The on-air party animal has a dilemma: if he makes fun of his home life, he gets in trouble with Beth. If he talks about how warm and fuzzy he feels being a new dad, he gets in trouble with Carl (Carl Anthony Payne, "Martin," "The Cosby Show"), his partner, and Boyle (Joey Slotnick, "Alias"), his boss (who was later replaced by Patrick Breen as Richard Crandall), all of whom are worried about ratings. As Jimmy settles in, perhaps a little uneasily, to his new responsibilities as a parent, expect him to confidently uphold his wild-man status with plenty of energy left over for his goofy but genuine love for Beth, baby Otis and their eccentric friends. Beth's best friend, Pam Gibson (Tammy Townsend, "Grown Ups," "Days of Our Lives"), is an aspiring singer who lives next-door to the Cox's; Kevin (Lex Medlin) is the goofy guy who works at the radio station with Jimmy and Carl; Steve (Oded Gross) and Kelly (Ken Marino, "Men Behaving Badly (US)," "The State") are a gay couple who the Cox's are friends with.moreless
