Bureau of Alien Detectors was a animated show that aired in 1996 on UPN as part of their Saturday Morning Programming Block, UPN KIDS, which is now defunct because of apparent problems from UPN. This show only aired for one season and no second season was made. The producer of this show was Saban International. There hasn't been any word on if the show will be in reruns or on VHS or DVD. Also I'd like to add that this show aired on Fox Kids U.K. in 2004 . Introductory Voiceover To many, it's modern day folklore, to others it is simply tabloid headlines but to a select few it is the ultimate reality. Intergalatic aliens have arrived on Earth, now they move among us. Only one top secret elite group of trained professionals has the ability to detect these extraterrestrial beings. B.A.D.: The Bureau of Alien Detectors. Led by Squadron Leader Sergeant Ben Packer, military war hero. Special Agent Shane Sanderson, life science expert. Moose Trengganu, alien encounter survivor. Colin Marcus, computer specialist, and Casey Taylor, psychic communicator. Together, they have only one mission: To confront, control, and contain all alien encounters. Together they are B.A.D.: The Bureau of Alien Detectors.moreless

The short-lived series featured the day and night lives of two beat cops dealing with crimes, absurdities, and heart grief. It had a unique visual approach, switching from film to video when the cops stepped out to do their duty. Unfortunately, pressure from the PTA and lukewarm ratings combined to put a stop to The Beat after only six of 13 ordered and produced episodes were aired. The second episode featured a guest appearance by Richard Belzer's character, Detective John Munch, who had previously starred in Tom Fontana's signature series, Homicide:Life on the Street, and continued his career at Law & Order:Special Victims Unit. Episode titles were taken from song titles by Sting, Bob Dylan, and T. Rex, among others.moreless

    UPN (ended 2004)
As co-owners of a contracting and roofing company, the Mullet brothers are blue-collar, wrestling-loving, light-hearted optimistic guys who don the hairstyle that bears their surname ("business in the front, party in the back"). The twenty-something brothers, who sport identical mullet haircuts, are actually a study in contrast. Dwayne Mullet (Michael Weaver) has an awesome set of muscles and a loud, wild, "in-your-face" demeanor, while Denny Mullet (David Hornsby) is a skinny, quieter, more thoughtful, easy-going guy. Dwayne figures with Denny's brain and Dwayne's body they've got the world in front of them, and they intend to live out their version of the American dream. Their mother, Mandi Mullet-Heidecker (Loni Anderson), a warm maternal type who also happens to be extremely sexy, couldn't be more proud of her offspring no matter what they do. Though she is sharper than her boys, she is obviously one of the family - in both attitude and wardrobe. She recently moved out of the house when she married her new husband, Roger Heidecker (John O'Hurley, "Over the Top") , the pompous host of the game show "Brainstorm," who, though he could not be more unrelated, is now stepfather to the Mullet brothers. When not working or lounging around their house, the brothers' regular hangout is the convenience store where they both vie for the attention of the clerk, a sweet and sunny girl-next-door type. The siblings live life to the fullest while dreaming of bigger and better futures, though their fantasies are out of step with their reality. (UPN Press Release) The show was created by former executive producers of The Simpsons, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein, as well as being written by many former writers of Futurama. Only eight of the ten episodes, know to of been filmed aired and at least one more was written or filmed. The theme song to "The Mullets" is performed by Face to Face. Live Shot

    Follow
    UPN (ended 1996)
A short-lived ensemble drama focusing on the people and personalities inside the most frenzied, dog-eat-dog work environment of all: the local television newsroom. As the series opens, Alex Rydell is about to begin his first day as KXZX Channel 3's news director. Fiercely committed to his career, Alex is a young man in transition. He's moved from Boston to Los Angeles, leaving behind a dissolving marriage in the process. Joined in L.A. by his precocious young son, Sean, Alex must, for the first time in his life, be both a breadwinner and an attentive, full-time dad. By the middle of day one, he's beginning to learn that being a father is a bigger job than heading up a news department could ever be. KXZX's "Re-Action News"-room is a densely-populated Peyton Place on adrenaline, replete with more stories behind the camera than could ever be captured on tape. Harry Chandler Moore, the station's "Beacon of Truth," is the personification of a vain, overblown veteran anchorman. Not at his best off-the-cuff, if you want Harry to say it right, it had better be on the TelePrompTer. His arch-enemy, up-and-coming co-anchor Sherry Beck, is his opposite in every way. She's bright, young and talented, and if she has to climb over Harry's bruised, bloodied and middle-aged carcass to get to the top, so be it...in fact, all the better. This team has a unique chemistry both on-screen and off. Nancy Lockridge is a dedicated young news producer looking for her next big break. She's immediately given just the opportunity she's been working for when Alex comes on board. "Fast" Eddie Santini and Tommy Greer are a hot dog, footage-at-any-cost news crew. Christened "The News Brothers," the two are best friends who share an appetite for a great camera angle and pride themselves in their ability to occasionally con rival news crews into missing the shot. In the next few weeks, their personal lives may get more entangled than their cable ever has. Rounding out the newsroom:
Ricardo Sandoval: A 28-year-old study in macho good looks, Ricardo is a "Re-Action News" anchor and reporter who has been known to focus more attention on the creases in his expensive trousers than the story he's been assigned to cover. Ricardo is joined on the air by ...
Lou Waller: The ex-jock sportscaster with a secret he fears could ruin his career ...
Liz Vega: An investigative reporter and anchor with a nose for real news and the determination to dig until she uncovers it ...
Marvin Seabom: The commentator with views just slightly to the right of Rush Limbaugh. Anxious to elevate his profile in the public eye, Marvin finds himself victim to both an imaginative (and delicious) explosive device and an overzealous publicist. And behind the camera:
Joe Vitale: Acting news director until Alex Rydell's arrival, Joe is the Re-Action News executive producer with a yen to sit in the big chair ...
Rick Evers: The straight-arrow assignment editor, and...
Peggy Traynor: The newsroom desk assistant. Together, this group will cover the worst the city has to offer on any given day. They'll shove their microphones into the faces of the grieving and the publicly humiliated—and then go in for the tight shot— but they'll also struggle with the price of "the people's right to know." Off camera, their lives will mix, mingle and intertwine as the demands of their shared career affect their ability to maintain marriages, friendships and family. And they will continually seek out television news' most elusive commodity—the thing on which careers are broken and born—the truly effective and emotionally charged live shot. Life-long best friends Todd, Alex and Wiseman share a New York apartment together, trying to figure out what to do with their post-college lives...then they meet their new neighbor Casey. They find themselves in New York City trying to negotiate the daunting realities of post-collegiate life – semi-mature relationships, steady employment and coming up with the rent, for example. Despite their seemingly similar situations, the members of this foursome take dramatically different approaches to life: Alex (Will Friedle, "Boy Meets World", "Go Fish"), an aspiring music critic who works as a researcher for a New York-based magazine, is responsible, dependable and sweet, though he yearns for the hip, edgy existence that always seems to elude nice guys. Todd (Sean Murray) has no such problem: he's the unmotivated guy who tries the least and gets the most. He has no plans—career or otherwise—and seems totally content, much to the bafflement (and envy) of his friends. Wiseman (Joshua Ackerman) is a dental technician who has never had to make a decision because his mother has made them all for him—including his selection of careers. Now, independent at last, he finds himself making some rather unusual personal choices. Casey (Natalia Cigliuti, "Pacific Palisades", "Odd Man Out") is a smart and mature NYU business school student, who as a recent transplant, is finding life in New York a little tougher than she had expected. Together they form an oddball kind of family, managing to negotiate the awkwardness of romantic breaks-ups, the frustrations of long-distance dating, the daunting search for the perfect New York apartment (or even a habitable one) and generally find a way to make a living while still having a life.moreless
