My Brand New Life takes kids from very different backgrounds and parts of Canada, and immerses them in a "new life". This show opens your eyes to someone else's world in the best way possible: by experiencing it! Season 2 is only airing in french on the french version called "Je vis ta vie". This show is based on a book called Mischief City! Mischief City is a wacky place where eight-year-old Winchell Adams often finds himself face-to-face with break dancing penguins on an expedition to get to the top of Cheeseburger Mountain. You may also find him aboard a ship to the planet of man-eating dust bunnies. All this as well as trying to keep an eye out for jive-talking trash creatures. Character Bios Winchell - A eight-year-old kid who goes to Mischief City when he is troubled. Maxine - Winchell's best friend. Maxine accompanies Winchell in his adventures in Mischief City. Mr. Cube - One of the monsters, Cube eats almost anything he sees, yet sometimes, when Maxine & Winchell are in danger, he & Hey Hey usually saves Maxine & Winchell. Hey Hey - Another of the monsters, Hey Hey is usually one that jumps into any situation at any time, but, when Winchell & Maxine are in danger, he & Mr. Cube usually saves Winchell & Maxine. Duane - Maxine's older brother. He causes problems & makes an adventure harder to accomplish. Clio - Winchell's baby sister. Likes to sometimes cause troubles to Winchell, but, to Mrs. Adams, it's her way of being cute. Mrs. Adams - Winchell's mother. Appears in almost every episode. Mr. Adams - Winchell's father. Appears in almost every episode. Show Info From hair-raising adventures in outer space, to spine-tingling voyages on the high seas, Mischief City is a place where anything can happen ... and usually does. When things in the real world get frustrating, Winchell escapes to a place where kids rule and nothing's out of the ordinary. Joined by his best friend Maxine and her two fun-loving pet monsters, Winchell's always around to save the day, even if it means taking on the dreaded deepsea Gillygaloo. It's Alive!

This cuddly little creature is Al, the host of this show. Along with a group of young canadian actors, he would introduce the various sketches of the show. I like to call it a Spoof Variety show, because that's exactly what it was. There were parodies of all sorts of things from Body Break to The Young and the Restless. It started out with one-hour long episodes, including two game show segments, a live musical guest, and lots of sketches in between. It was later cut back to a half-hour. Such sketches included: Body Break ( Body Break )- Talk about how the key to proper exercise is the right motivation. Perhaps letting a dog chase you, with a hefty steak attached to your leg, or maybe calling a guy fatso and lardbucket till he starts running after you. The Young the Beautiful, the Shallow ( The Young and the Restless )- A hilarious spoof of the overdone, melodramatic soap opera including such ridiculous storylines as when Portia falls under amnesia and when she discovers that her boyfriend has been secretly cutting her hair in order to make a sweater. Another incident involved the italian mafia trying to take over an ex-karaoke star's fashion magazine empire.moreless

Squawkbox is a comedic television series from the YTV network. It was a skit comedy show that aired in 1994 for one season. This show aired each week, and every week it would have multiple comedy skits that would deal with issues of politics, youth and current events in the news. Its target audience was young adults and people in their early twenties, but it reached a large amount of people through its rare comedy skits. This show starred many up and coming comedians including Dov Teifenbach. It also starred many actors and actresses that are young and old. The cast ranged in ages from 12-40 years old, and this large age range brought diversity to the show. The cast was also full of different nationalities, and this too brought diversity to the show. This show was only on the air for one season, but it quickly gained an impressive following. It allowed people to understand the news and politics through comedy.moreless

Panda Bear Daycare

Panda Bear Daycare is a Canadian children's educational program taken from YTV Jr's Treehouse video collection. In each episode, a group of preschoolers learn some valuable lessons from Fred Stinson's puppets. The main character is Panda, who gets help from a handheld puppet named Claire and a full body puppet that plays Panda's father. Stinson provides the voice for all characters in the show. Panda starts every episode with a poem that segues into a game and a story. The season starts with the song "I Can Say What I Want," followed by a game, which allows the preschoolers and the children at home to make up stories. Panda then quiets the kids down to tell the tale of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. The host describes how the boy's made-up stories caused a dangerous situation for a whole town. By the end of the show, the kids learn about the problems in telling white lies. moreless
