The New Adam-12 is a remake of the original series.
Gus Grant (Peter Parros) and Matt Doyle (Ethan Wayne) were the uniformed L.A.P.D. officers on patrol in a squad car named "Adam 12." The series combined a mixture of serious crimes and trivial or amusing incidents on the streets of Los Angeles and also a running byplay between married Gus and single Matt about their off-duty lives. Sgt. Harry Santos (Miguel Fernandes - Season 1) and Sgt. Elizabeth Cruz (Alma Martinez - Season 2) were the watch commanders.
The series only aired in New York and Los Angeles at the time of production, going into national syndication at the end of 1990.
The series was filmed at Universal City Studios in Universal City, California with the support of the Los Angeles Police Department's Chief Daryl Gates and Commander Bill Booth.moreless
