When Nick asked Jess if he has something on his face he was holding an ice cream in his left hand, but in the next shot the ice cream was in his right hand.
When Nick was eating an ice cream he asked Jess if he has something on his mouth and we could see a little bit of ice cream on his face, but in the next shot the ice cream was all over his mouth.
When Bob first gets sprayed by the turkey baster, a relatively small area of his shirt is dampened. When the camera cuts back later, the wet spot has enlarged to cover a larger area of his shirt.
Goof: In the pool scene with Jess and Nick, Jess is seen wearing a two piece blue bathing suit with spots and after a while she is then seen in a similar bathing suit, but this time black and not blue.
Goof: Jess tells Nick she needs him to take her not to the closest Ikea, but the next closest Ikea that's over an hour away. The show takes place in LA; there are three Ikeas (Burbank, Covina and Carson) within an hour of anywhere in or around Los Angeles, and another in OC (Fountain Valley) that's probably within an hour of most of greater LA as well.
Goof: When Nick tried to water tomatoes he dropped the watering can on the pot, but in the next scene the watering can is gone, even though he didn't take it.
Goof: Russell shotguns a beer in a red can, but when the shot cut to Nick's expression, he is holding a blue can.
While Jess is performing in class, some of her students are seen with cell phones, which are normally banned in most classrooms.
The landlord mistakenly calls Nick "Brad." Damon Wayans Jr., who played Coach in the pilot, plays a character named Brad in Happy Endings.
When Jess put blanket on Julia's laps she sat down on the couch and she's making the move like she's reachingfor the blanket, but she never puts it on her laps, but in the next shot she has the blanket.
