  • Nick and Jessica go to Atlantic City for one of Jessica's concerts which happens to be on their anniversary. The following day the pair hit the craps tables, shop and eat at Ocktober fest. When the two get bored they leave for NYC.

The episode was a classic because it is a milestone in their marriage and for the series. They made it! Their first year, not exactly the most romantic end to your first year, Atlantic City, but memorable nonetheless. Jessica's observations regarding Oktoberfest are hilarious, commenting on how old most of the gamblers and shoppers who attend. One man even tries to pulse out money from an ATM by using his Sears card! Jessica is shocked when she sees this and all the dancing going on. The pair both agrees Atlantic City is not the place for young lovers to have romance, so they leave for NYC. When in New York they eat at the Tavern on the Green and relive the moment when they cut their wedding cake a year ago. The episodes where there are rare occurrences or conflict. The pair is quite the opposite, so watching them bicker or embarrass each other is a good episode. Nick fumes when he discovers Jess' show is on their anniversary he attributes the situation not a coincidence rather that Joe is responsible. The two stick it out and have a romantic end to their anniversary weekend! The episode was very entertaining from start to finish.
