Matthew: I can't believe I threw up on James Caan.
Bill: I can't believe he just laughed it off.
Matthew: I can't believe he didn't punch me.
Bill: I can't believe he DID punch me.
James Caan: (to Matthew) You've got to be the most fascinating son of a bitch I've ever met.
Dave's affection for the TV show Green Acres surfaces for the first time in this episode. The show will be mentioned many more times through the series and we will see Dave watching the show many times, especially in the episode Space. Lisa will derivisely refer to it as "that pig show".
Before they got James Caan, a few other veteran actors were approached for this episode, including Charlton Heston, but none of them were interested because they never heard of the show.
Dave: At least I wasn't a social outcast in Junior High because I didn't know the difference between Pinky Tuscadero and Leather Tuscadero.
Dave is talking about two characters from Happy Days. Both were tough talking motorcycle riding bad girls introduced as love interests for Fonzie. Stunt rider Pinky appeared in the 1976 season and was played by Roz Kelly. Pinky's younger sister Leather showed up in 1977 and was played by rock singer Suzy Quatro.
