NFL Under The Helmet

Show Summary

NFL Under The Helmet is an educational and informational weekly TV program from FOX Sports, hosted by former pro-NFL player Ron Pitts and FOX sportscaster Jill Arrington. The series focuses on the National Football League with intent to attract a young audience. The season starts during the NFL off-season, and the show heads to New Jersey to see what players Sean Bennett and Greg Comella are doing. Cameras capture Bennett training year-round by mountain biking in Ramapo State Park, but viewers see Comella relaxing with his family, which according to the player, helps him mentally prepare for the upcoming pre-season. Coaches also stop by the show to tell young people about their days coaching Pop Warner football. By mid-season, sportscaster Rebecca Grant replaces Pitts and Arrington. She includes video game reviews and online footage of local high school football games in her reports. Grant also highlights some of the action during the NFL season, using slow-motion cameras and high-tech equipment to capture the sights and sounds of the game.
