Question about Global Guts

    In the Third Season they said that 12 countries were involved in the competition....when there were really eleven.

    Another note: Notice there was a white flag with a red stripe across it? Did that represent anything?

    When the Soviet Union broke up in December 1991, the countries were lumped together for a short while and called the Commonwealth of Independent States. In the 1992 Olympics the countries competed together for the last time as The Unified Team. Global Guts was in production while all of this was going on, so they used the CIS flag for the first few tapings.
