The baby that Harry Anderson is holding is his own son Dashiell, who was six months old at the time the episode aired.
Bob Wheeler: (assisting Christine in delivering a woman's baby, he tactlessly tests her qualifications) Do you have any children, Miss Sullivan? Ever had a man?
Christine: (indignant and embarrassed) Of COURSE I've had a man! If I had a nickel for every man I've had...I'd...have a dime...
Benet: (increasingly intense) Dan...DAN...DAN... (suddenly vulnerable) ...I'm scared.
Dan: (strangely comforting) It's all right. (holding her close) I'm right here...and I'm going to stay here...right until the end. (after a pause) Now, if you can just remove your teeth from my chest....
Bull: Wow, look at the grin on that kid's face.
Flo: (smiling) Uh, Bull...that's not his face. And that ain't no grin.
Bull: It's not?!
Stanley's wife: (worried) You mean it's a breeched baby?
Stanley: A BREECHED BABY?!?! (looking like he's going to faint again)
Flo: STAY ON YOUR FEET, STANLEY, OR I'LL KNOCK YOU COLD!!
Dan: Okay, we need something to cut the umbilical cord.
Tommy: Pocket knife, top left pocket. (Dan finds a lollipop in the pocket) Oh, Mom...
Dan: (finding pocket knife) Great, first I'll cut his, then yours.
Dan: (as Benet screams) That's right...let it all out.
Benet: (almost growling) If you can't handle it, you can leave!
Dan: Sure, tell you what. Why don't I get you a mirror and some salad tongs, and you can do this yourself.
Tommy: I think it's coming!
Harry: Instructions.
Dan: Thank you. Tommy, get me some surgical gloves.
Tommy: From where?
Dan: My briefcase, top pocket. Great, now I can deduct them.
This is considered Florence Halop's final episode, she passed away on July 15, 1986 of Breast Cancer.
Dan: (Trying to gaslight a pregnant feminist to finish delivery) Hey wait a minute, who's that coming through the door? Is that... Oh, look it is, it's Bobby Riggs!
Bobby Riggs was a famous tennis player from the 30s and 40s. While deliberately playing the male chauvinist card, he left retirement in 1973 and defeated Margaret Court (then top female player in the world) and then lost to Billie Jean King in the "Battle of the Sexes" match.
The lady Dan helps decided to name her baby Reinhold, Dan's birth name (he changed it when he left Louisiana). Reinhold is also the name of the creator/writer/producer of Night Court.
