Host: Good evening. We offer you an evening's sojourn among the wild, the woolly, the unbelievable, sometimes made believable. As our first painting suggests. From this painting, one wouldn't necessarily conjure up a story of love. But that's precisely what it tells about. An emotion as old as Man. But the object of the emotion, this is not quite as familiar. It's title, Phantom Farmhouse, offering number one in the Night Gallery.
This approximately 33-minute segment is ruthlessly cut down to fit into 30-minute syndication format with commercials. Much of the opening dialogue between the patients is cut, including references to Gideon's palms and the secret that he is hiding.
David Carradine is billed as Special Guest Star.
This episode is based on the short story "The Phantom Farmhouse" by Seabury Quinn. This story was first published in Weird Tales (October 1923).
